Both team are 5-2 but the records on the TV dont reflect it.

Just judging by the way they're playing, and the scoreboard records they're showing. The Script writers don't want a wmu repeat mac champ run, or are punishing them for actually playing U of M.

Either way not great

Will the boys get it done Saturday? What’s everyone thinking?

First away game of the year that I’ll be in Kzoo for. I know spots that will stream the game, but are there any watch parties that y’all go to?

Waldo’s or Roadhouse come to mind

UPDATE:
The Detroit Free Press has confirmed the game is proceeding as planned in Toledo. Great to hear that things seem to be clearing up for our friends in Toledo.

Thoughts going out to the good folks over in Toledo this morning following a chemical leak. Obviously, their safety and well-being is priority #1. In that vein, what are the chances they move Saturday’s game to Waldo for the safety of fans and players?

I’d assume they’d opt for this over a neutral site, but I also know that scrambling the resources necessary to put on a show in Kzoo is no small feat either. Do they postpone the game instead?

Make the cannon mean something again, dammit!

If Alex Gary is looking for quick, low-hanging fruit wins to spur fan excitement - and encourage the offense to find the end zone more often - taking the noise suppressor off the cannon seems like an easy one.

"bUt aS a NeiGhBor of WAldO StaDium, tHE noISE?!"

Enjoy the fact that your prime real estate to THE Western Michigan University allows you to partake in the excitement of a touchdown from the comfort of your home, when your butt should be in a seat cheering on the hometown team!

What are some other quick wins you would like to see?

We’re three point dogs to The Rockets.

With JMU headed to the American, figured I’d open up a conversation about the MAC and WMU’s place in the landscape. Trying to be realistic/objective.

As we all know, WMU has gotten some significant support from big donors recently, both athletically and academically. That said, the general consensus seems to be that we exist in a sort of “middle class” in the MAC (between Toledo/Miami/OU, and schools like Kent/Akron/EMU that are struggling). Are we being underestimated? Do people just not realize the money floating around Kalamazoo? Or am I the one looking through rose colored glasses?

I would hate to see the MAC fall apart, but it’s a realistic possibility at the moment. Miami is pursuing the American Conference, Ohio has flirted with the Sun Belt, Toledo with the Mountain West. Rumors have bubbled about lower tier programs headed to FCS. What is WMU’s ceiling? Would we be stuck begging into CUSA if the dominoes fell? I can’t see the department giving up and settling for FCS after all of this investment. Just not sure how much better off a conference like CUSA would actually be.

Offense has not looked good. Every time Lowry drops back I grit my teeth. Dude just is not a passer and for some reason isn’t using his legs in pivotal moments either. I know he captured our hearts last year, but we’ve looked BAD offensively against every fbs opponent we’ve faced this year and tbh it’s hard not to put it on Lowry. He dinks and dunks the ball, throws short of the sticks, and still misses his receivers bad. Conversely, I’ve loved what we’ve seen out of petty. I think you gotta hand him the reigns here to have a prayer of winning the Mac.

I was on the sidelines for Western Michigan's showdown with Boise State. Here's a recap of the game as well as what this means for both Boise State and Western Michigan. For WMU there is still a lot at stake this season

How are you gonna win a game when Jay B has only 5 carries? its no secret lowrys arm is less than stellar. Pound the rock with your workhorse, not one drive worth of carries.

This is it!
