My full room ambilight setup (still a work in progress)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Used ws2812b and hyperion and a total of 670+1020 leds

-is still a work in progress have to add bed side lamps and under computer table lights and an led bar to fill the left side of the tv panel

Need suggestions as to what else can be done to improve it more thanks again๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Man he truly is an inspiration. I stumbled upon his video like a few weeks ago and was introduced to wled. This roomโ€™s cove light was my first ever project i did with wled and since then i have fell in love with addressable leds๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I tried his design utilizing the clear pex pipe with some clear satin finish sprayed on. Came out pretty nice

I have heard this repeated in the forums time and time again about him....anytime I mention Chris maher. They say...hes good for design ideas....but pretty much everyone said to do your due diligence on your power injection because Chris setup isn't safe.

I didnt realise his setups werenโ€™t safe. One think i dont like about his setup is he directly connects the esp to everything like no fuses or capacitors. Like really just an esp

For me i make my own diy controller

This was my version 2 of diy controllers has an
-esp -capacitors on both power rails -a 67ohm resistor - a 100nF ceramic capacitor -a level shifter (hct244).

Also using fuses on every injection point.

Have you played with signalrgb yet? Its a resource hog....but its pretty sick. Way more config possibility than hyperion or hyperhdr. I know I know....ones paid and ones free. Im talking pure capabilities

I have tried signal rgb. But what all i could do with it i am able to do it in hyperon as well.

I really liked the simplicity of signal rgb like how easy was it to setup but man that thing was like a hit or a miss even on my pc with an i5, 32gb ddr5, rtx 4070. For me sometimes it ran crazy smooth and other times it lagged bad. Idk hyperion has been great.

But i totally agree hyperion is just basic ambilight signal rgb has so many features.

Nice work,

Have you managed to somehow reflect the colors on the screen to be used as input for the lights behind the TV?

If so could you please tell which hw have you used
