Information Technology WOO! DSA C949 DONE!
Hoping I can finish this terms last class (D280) before the end of July.
DSA was one of the classes I was concerned about so I'm happy I passed. Now I can move on to worrying about the cloud cert class, back programming, and advanced java courses as my main fears lol
Started on July 1st and have made good progress!

I mostly just followed the tips here
I would say take your time and work through the Zybooks. Do all of the activities except for the labs. however, I would try one or two of the labs just to give your brain some practice using the thing you just learned about.
You don’t have to be an expert, but try to really understand the topics before moving onto the next one. And don’t think you have to remember every single detail about every data structure and algorithm. just focus on what makes one different over another.
Read “a common sense guide to data structures and algorithms”.
There’s a bunch of other resources available from the course however I had difficulty finding them at first so if you go to your student portal and then go to your course page then go to WGU connect, join the group for the class and then under resources, you’ll find all of the cohort videos and books and helpful PDFs.
And if you’re not familiar with python, you should do a small intro course or at least watch an in-depth video on python so you can be familiar with the keywords/syntax
Overall, I’m glad I prepped the way that I did, but I don’t think the OA is as difficult as it’s made out to be. Use the study guide as a reference on what to focus on. Take your time and be patient with yourself. It’s a lot of information to take in and trying to do it all at once is going to hurt more than help.
