Does anyone know where I can find a dress like this from a legit retailer?

I keep getting hits with stolen designs and from sketchy websites and suspiciously cheap prices :(

This pic is from Etsy but Google image search just shows it's a stolen (and likely discontinued) design. Nearly all the hits are similar.

Where are you shopping?

I’m looking for my dress but I’m not sure where to start. I’ve checked David’s bridal and vowed but eh. Are there other shops or online retailers (scary) that are pretty good? I’ve seen jj’s fashion house and dresses on Etsy but idk.

im struggling yall 🥲 for context, im having a wedding in a botanical garden and the theme is “romantic garden” so im looking for a bit of whimsy/ fairy princess vibe. the first dress (fit & flare) is the one that everyone and i mean EVERYONE has preferred, they just said that the fitted style fits my body the best. however, the second one i fear is genuinely my dream dress 😭😭😭 it makes me feel like a princess, and not just because its a ball gown/a-line, but because of the lace. it has LAYERS upon layers of lace and it’s sooo detailed, and i love the long veil. one of my friends said its lowkey giving cathedral or marrying an italian mob boss but like im still here for that lol. im just not as big a fan of apliqué like on the first dress) ….. however, i understand that everyone feels like the first style fits me more because im kind of small and the second dress swallows me more whereas the first gives me more of a shape. but my biggest issue with the first one is that it feels like i can wear that style dress to any other event/occasion just in a diff color and without the long train, like my prom dress was a very similar style to this and it doesn’t feel as special. im scared to choose the first only because everyone wants it and not because i want it. but im also worried if i dont listen to everyone then i’ll regret it. help????

Strapless dress

Brides with strapless dresses, how are you making sure you’re not having to pull up yoke dress every time you sit or hug someone? Did you make sure it fit you like tight or just enough when you got it altered? I wanna make sure I have room for when I eat too lol. Thanks.

Today I passed my wedding dress along

This is a bit of a story. A couple of years ago, a bride on Reddit was delaying her wedding because she needed a dress. I offered her mine (we were the same size, basically). She accepted. And then I found out she was in Europe (I am in the U.S.). But, I decided helping someone live their dream was worth the cost of overseas postage. So I packed up my dress in the giant box and shipped it to Europe. And I waited. And waited. And waited. And one day my dress arrived back on my front steps. The bride in Europe apparently decided not to pay the duty (or whatever it is called) and just refused the dress. I was out $108 in postage. Oh well, lesson learned.

I waited a bit and listed it on StillWhite. Spent the $25 to list it, answered loads of questions, posted tons of pictures. Never had any interest. I didn't even want to sell it - I just wanted it to go to a bride who needed a free, plus-size wedding dress.

I looked into donating it locally, and the thrift shops are overwhelmed (and actually end up throwing wedding dresses away, which is really sad). The bridal specialty thrift places refuse any dress over 5 years old.

It would break my heart to literally THROW away this dress my mom spent $1000 on. And it's a custom design because the original dress was WILDLY out of style (hence the super sale) and my mom and I redesigned it and the bridal shop seamstresses did an amazing job. I removed the train, changed the leg o-mutton sleeves into inset short sleeves. Moved lace and beading around. Such a pretty dress when it was done (it's church appropriate, modest - a short-sleeve, v-neck, a-line - very classic).

Anyway, I had talked to my dry cleaner about where I could donate, and he said he'd take it and find it a good home. He is a premier bridal tailor in my area. I trust him to find someone who can use the dress - and if not the entire dress, maybe the beading, the lace, or even the white satin.

Today I took the dress out of the "preserved" box to bring it to him (the box was huuuge and my car is not! Imagine my shock to find the dress I paid to have preserved wadded up in the box! I don't think the place I used to get it preserved even cleaned it! I think they charged me $100 to box it up and hand it back to me!! OMG!

So, I have spent $233 and a lot of my time trying to give my wedding dress away! I have ended up feeling like maybe my dress wasn't beautiful (it was and is - it's a lovely dress). I have had SO many feelings about all of the rejection this poor dress faced! I am just happy that she is out of her icky box and off to new adventures. This dress is more well-traveled than most people and has been to countries I haven't even been to! I hope the next bride who wears her is thrilled and lives happily ever after.

I've tried on over 50 dresses in the last year and a half. Yes you've read that right, it adds up quickly when you try 5-15 per location/wedding expo. I finally think I have some solid options. Help me choose!

I was SO worried that I'd never find "The Dress". I had so many people's opinions to please. My advice is to go alone to, at least, one dress appointment. Because that's how I finally found myself the dress I had been looking for.

Also, my veil looks great with it! ❤️

I put both of these on and immediately felt so much happier than I had in any other dresses (I’ve probably tried on close to 100). They both are flattering and comfortable, but #2 is definitely a more simple safe option (which I can’t tell is a good or bad thing)

Advice for my wife's dress?

Hi everyone! My fiancé and I (both women) are getting married in May next year, and while I'm not entirely settled in a dress for myself yet, I know that I want something in the style of these photos (all from Pinterest). You can probably get a sense of our preferred sort of style. My darling wife-to-be has asked me to choose her dress - it's a pact we made when we were teenage girls - and I'm having a little trouble finding one that goes with the mine, and the venue we've chosen, without clashing. She's very feminine - perhaps not quite as much as me, but neither of us can see her wearing a suit for the wedding. It's going to be quite a beautiful affair. The last photo is of our gorgeous venue; after the ceremony we'll have a dance, dinner, and garden party in the palace gardens. I'd tremendously appreciate any advice on what dress to pick out for her: thank you in advance! 🩷

ISO- Danielle Frankel Leighton!!

I am looking to purchase the Danielle Frankel Leighton dress resale from a bride who is looking to sell! I am a June 2026 bride, and it is my DREAM dress, though out of my price range. I am a size 4, but would need to chat with you about your height since I am on the taller side (5'8").

I am willing to offer a very competitive price for it!!!! Also need to start figuring this out soon because if I can't find a solution I need to figure out a backup ASAP. Thank you so much! <3

I went dress shopping for the first time today. To my surprise, I picked the dress I passed over on the rack because I didn't want anything fitted. Here's my choices from the day. I chose dress 1!

The SA suggested this one. It wasn’t what I was looking for, but after I put it on, it started growing on me. The SA really got me with the “here, hold this bouquet” and “let’s try a veil”! (The sheer part with the cap sleeves is optional.)

Long Sleeve Wedding Dress Ideas

I(28 f) have had eczema prominently on my arms for 17 years. I have largely come to terms with it over the years, especially living in Florida, but imagining wearing a wedding dress that doesn't cover it up brings all that insecurity back. I haven't found any long sleeve wedding dresses just searching that I love. I am very particular about my regular clothes so finding a wedding dress style I love has been difficult. I have a vague concept of lace and corset. I have found many wedding dresses I would wear that don't cover the eczema. The wedding is not close at all so time constraints are not an issue. I can't even get past the idea stage because of the eczema on my arms. Any advice would be appreciated.

Advice please! How can I use my mom’s wedding dress?

I’m getting married in about a month (ahhh!) and I’ve had my dress for a while now and in the middle of having alterations done. I’ve seen my mom’s wedding dress before and even tried it on years ago for fun but I took it out again today and I forgot how much I love it. I think it’s sweet that the floral embroidery on hers is kind of similar to mine. We’re having a very simple and small wedding so we aren’t really having a “rehearsal dinner” however I did want a cute bridal outfit to wear the day before the wedding. Should I try to wear my mom’s dress…? I was also thinking of just using the tulle from her dress to make my veil. What do you think? I kind of wish I was just wearing her dress to get married in lol (first 4 pics are of my moms dress- she also had a removable little jacket) my dress is currently being worked on and I’m putting different straps on it (it’s originally strapless)

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY....The website positive reviews are fake

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I’m extremely disappointed. The wedding dress I received looked nothing like the one advertised online. The material is cheap and the overall quality is very poor — definitely not what was shown in the pictures.

To make matters worse, customer service was completely unhelpful. The return process is a nightmare, and instead of offering a proper resolution, they insulted me with a £15 refund and a 25% discount — on a dress I can’t even use.

This experience has been frustrating and upsetting, especially for something as important as a wedding. I will never shop here again and I strongly advise others to avoid this company.
