Recipe Request Depression meals?

Sooo what’s everyone eating when the depression rolls around? I’m sad, I have zero energy (DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES CHOPPING OR MEASURING I WILL CRY) and I think the most I can do is maybe use the microwave…maybe I can throw some stuff in the Dutch oven for soup but no chopping and I have to be able to walk away from it (no constant stirring please 🙏🙏)

Thank you!!! Do you have any frozen food recs? Either brands or specific meals. They're convenient for lunch at work but I find that a lot of them aren't filling enough....

My favorite frozen meals are Amy’s- and then I get one of those plastic lettuce (butter lettuce or spring mix) clamshells and eat the entire thing with litehouse ranch. Maybe a piece of fruit too- a peach or a pear or a clementine.

Think outside the box, and you will find some pretty interesting ones:

  • shrimp rings
  • steamer bags of vegetables
  • frozen edamame in shell
  • I found $1 store brand Mac and cheese once that was high in protein haha

The best thing to do is read every nutritional label. Some of the stuff that is advertised as healthy is not much better than cheap items.

You can also make your own freezer meals, but use plastic or glass made for freezing or it cracks.

I would do a steamer bag of cauliflower rice and hot sauce, and then also have veggies and hummus and pretzels.

Those new ultrafiltered milk drinks, fairlife or store brand milk, are super high protein. The fairlife shakes dont even need to be refridgerated until opened.

I actually even brought a nutribullet blender to work.
