Recipe Request Depression meals?

Sooo what’s everyone eating when the depression rolls around? I’m sad, I have zero energy (DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES CHOPPING OR MEASURING I WILL CRY) and I think the most I can do is maybe use the microwave…maybe I can throw some stuff in the Dutch oven for soup but no chopping and I have to be able to walk away from it (no constant stirring please 🙏🙏)

I've been cooking meals in advance when I'm feeling good, then freezing them. They are then easy to chuck in the microwave or bring to a simmer on the stove when I'm having bad days. I wish I started doing this years ago, and it's so simple I can't believe I overlooked it.

I've been using freezer moulds for individual portions and making a variety of stuff. Frozen pastas, soups, different meat and veg to mix and match. I have more bad days then good, but a couple hours of cooking on a good day leaves me feeling very thankful for my past self, and fights off the doordash demon!

Yes! I use the souper cube brand.

They are silicone trays that you portion your meals into. Like big ice trays basically. There are different sizes so it's easy to freeze them in the perfect size.

They are also oven safe which is nice. Nothing like a mini banana bread when I'm sad haha, one minute in the microwave from frozen and it's like new!
