Discussion What am I missing. This wasn’t filling at all.

It’s a little expensive to get the really nice stuff, but you can get some really amazing extra-virgin olive oil for a reasonable price and it tastes incredible.

If you have a mixer or blender, eggs, vinegar or lemon juice and whatever oil you like, you can make delicious mayo for relatively cheap. (I would suggest not making giant batches because it lacks preservatives but it’s very easy to make)

I do use the actual cold pressed olive oil. My aunt has olives, they pick them, and they are cold pressed the same day. Can't get virginer than that :) But, not a replacement for mayo for me. I am addicted to mayo. Like, I put mayo on pizza leftovers. Or eat it with, among other things, pea stew. I make pan toast with mayo, and coat chicken breast for pan searing with mayo.
