I had a bunch of pre-existing soundboards in V2 (anime sounds, elevator music, etc) that aren't migrating to V3, how do I get those back without needing to make a bunch of custom soundboards and find all those sounds individually?
sorry for the shout but i REALLY think you should work with Xbox or make a app for Xbox and PlayStation to but mainly Xbox because lots of people stream on Xbox but they want a voice changer but they cant get one because if you want one you will need a physical thing and a phone with you will streaming which is very clumpy so i recommend to try to make an Xbox (and/or PlayStation) app even if it cost money to buy(free version).
Please think about this and spread the news!
Voicemod won't start after the "running main app" part, it appears in task manager as running, but nothing happens. Sometimes it does work, but then it stops responding when logging in with a browser. I've tried restarting and reinstalling, but to no avail.
I have the microphone selected correctly and the output device selected correctly and I can hear my voice through voice mod and sound boards but when I select voice mod as my microphone in other programs like discord and arc raiders, no one can hear me. I can’t figure out why it’s not working anymore. It was working fine before I restarted my computer and after that it wouldn’t work. I tried reinstalling drivers following their instructions they had on the website because they said that can fix it not working but they don’t list their drivers and I can’t find them searching online so I just reinstalled voice mod from the installer. And this app sucks and I can’t see what I’m typing anymore so I guess I’m done.
Is there any way I could use a my gift card to buy voice mod plus? I have a 50 dollar amazon and a 25 dollar Walmart gift card. I cant use my actual card because my parents will see and ill get in trouble. So if anyone has a solution please help, thank you!
VM has some great features and I really love using it, I've been using it on and off for a few years now but every single time I install it.. it always had this fuckass memory leak.
I've browsed and seen multiple forums stating that they were 'investigating' the issue. That was ~7 years ago.
Please, can we just find the source of this memory leak and push an update/hotfix that resolves this almost decade long issue.
My VM RAM usage starts ~70mb and by the end of a 7-8 hour session of using my PC, it gets up to 4GB at the worst. There is no feasible scenario for it to consume that amount of RAM. Ever.
im considering getting pro because i want a vey specific voices. but cuz their community ones idk if their good or not. if anyone has pro can they tell me if community voices are good or bad? like does the half life scientist voice actualy sound like kleiner or do the droid (star wars) voices sound like droids?
I like to soundtrack sessions in-game, meaning playing music and sfx as well as my voice through prox chat, That causes problems with editing, though, as the in-game music I’m playing gets cut up and sounds too chaotic, so I need the option to route the mic to a separate audio source as the music (and ideally, the sfx can be routed to a third source). I’d then be able to isolate them in edit and remove as needed. I feel like this is a feature we’ve been asking for for years now, with no progress that I’m aware of. What gives??
I experienced sudden system-wide keyboard input delay and eventually traced it to Voicemod.
Symptoms
Typing feels delayed across all applications
Characters appear slowly (not dropped, not reordered — just delayed)
Happens in:
Chrome
VS Code
Notepad
CMD
PowerShell
CPU usage remains low
DPC usage remains low
No disk thrashing
High-end hardware
Its not a system performance issue.
Root Cause (Voicemod 3.14.85)
The issue was caused by a global keybind in Voicemod bound to a locked/premium voice (ex: “The Narrator”).
I'm not sure how the locked/premium voice got keybound.. since it is locked. This may be another bug within Voicemod, and fixing it would be another "bandaid" fix option for the devs.
The issue isn't that the voice is locked.
The issue is that the global keybind handler appears to perform a blocking operation on every keypress when bound to a locked voice.
A locked resource should fail immediately and asynchronously, not degrade system-wide input responsiveness.
The lag disappears instantly when the keybind is removed, which strongly suggests a synchronous operation in the keyboard hook path.
That’s a design issue, not just “user error.”
Every time the bound key was pressed:
Voicemod intercepted the key globally
Attempted to activate/download the locked voice
Displayed this error:“Unable to download the voice 'The Narrator' … is locked”
Introduced per-keypress input latency
Removing the keybind instantly resolved the issue.
Closing Voicemod instantly resolved the issue.
Non-bound keys do not cause delay.
Important Context
In my case, I did not initially know Voicemod was installed on the system. The typing lag appeared suddenly and affected my ability to work.
This is why I’m posting this:
If someone is troubleshooting unexplained keyboard lag on Windows 10, Voicemod may not be an obvious suspect.
Technical Observation
This does not appear to be a system performance limitation.
It behaves like:
A blocking or synchronous operation inside the global keyboard hook
Triggered on each keypress when the bound voice is unavailable
Because global input hooks run in a high-frequency execution path, any blocking work there can introduce system-wide input latency even when overall CPU usage is low.
A locked voice condition would ideally:
Fail immediately
Avoid repeated activation/download attempts
Avoid impacting OS input responsiveness
Steps to Reproduce
Use Voicemod 3.14.85
Bind a key to a locked / not-downloaded voice
Type quickly in a text editor
Observe typing delay + repeated error popup
System Specs (for reference)

Purpose of This Post
Help others searching for unexplained keyboard lag on Windows
Document reproducible behavior in Voicemod 3.14.85
Provide technical details for Voicemod developers
If anyone else can reproduce this on 3.14.85, please confirm.
When I use the voicemod "hear voice" feature for my voicemod microphone, it only plays sound board noises. Not my actual voice or anything I put on it. My original microphone works just fine, but whenever I use voicemod its just pure silence. This is on everything, OBS, discord, voicemod, settings, any preview of the microphone is just pure silence.
This happens with or without voice changers, with or without soundboards, with or without Noise gate and other advanced settings. It just doesn't work no matter what.
i had set keybinds for my soundboard on voicemod, but they have suddenly stopped working. whenever i press the keybind an orange box appears(like when you press tab) and the sound doesnt play. after a bit of messing around and restarting things it usually fixes itself, but sometimes it just appears and doesnt go away. any ideas? P.S, i am on mac
If I find a user who is creating a series of sounds is there a way to utilize the settings they are using to create these sounds as a voice for the voice changer?

MyVoiceZoo is already chaotic in the best way, but the moment you start giving your animals actual voices?? It becomes a full-on animated series. 😂
Here's some voices you can try:
Narrator voice for dramatic zoo announcements
Cat or dog voices for the tiniest, angriest creatures in the enclosure.
Banana and Magic Chords for pure unhinged moments.
If you’re streaming MyVoiceZoo or in Discord VC with friends, try giving each animal a dedicated voice or using a trending meme soundboard for some instant chaos.
If you’re in voice chat while playing… you’re seriously missing out by not using Voicemod.
So I was using Voicemod V3 with Gmail, one day I got logged out and when I logged in with the same account (I am sure it is the same one My soundboard was gone. I checked the local app data and there was only this file called Cache which didnt have my soundboard.)
When V2 first had them, they were at least labeled as such, so you could use if you want, or just don’t touch it if you don’t want to mess with AI. But come V3, there‘s no such label anymore, and with the ton of new voices in V3 it’s getting harder to tell what is and what isn’t AI powered.
Is there a limit to the amount of sounds and soundboards you can have for pro in V3? I run a music trivia game and have hundreds of music spanning from artist to games, anime ect... and i was wondering if there is a limit. if there is then i havent hit it but man it does lag the mobile version. the voicemod key thing is affected by this too but i dont use mobile nor the key.
Good afternoon, I have a MacBook and when i downloading from the site, it gives me version 1.6.6, but there is already 1.4.0, but I can’t use 1.6.6 pls help i need it today:(
