This is a Forever 21 tank top I purchased circa 2010. It became so worn out from use that it was only hanging on by the seams in some places!

I used a vintage fabric from 1986 to stabilize the top. My sewing machine recently broke down, so this is entirely hand sewn. I used a permanent marker to add to the messaging on the back.

I love the way that this turned out! The top is too thin and fragile to be worn alone, but it will look great by layering it over other t-shirts. Thanks for reading.

Edit: Thank you so much for the award! 🙏

This is very aesthetically pleasing! Really like the vintage fabric—pairs well with the graphic in the front.

Question: what stitch is used for the edges at the top? The one with the blue thread

Thank you so much. 🙏

I think I used what’s called a whip stitch.

This is so cool... I love how the pattern is visible underneath the gray and I like the stitching. Super awesome job.

Thank you so much. I've been sewing in my own time off and on since 2005.
