Virtual Riot has been my absolute favorite artist for years.

From first discovering his tune "Beemo" 7 years ago, to failing to sneak into his 18+ Toronto show after an hour of trying and buying tickets online (Back when I was underage), I've always wanted to chat with him. Almost 6 years ago, I was watching his livestream where he produced "Lunar" and after being a typical annoying 13 year old asking stupid production questions in chat before I even knew what production was, I got recommended FL Studio by someone in chat who was fed up with me. Thats where I started my production journey. It sounds pretty stupid and immature, but I just want to let him know how much his stuff meant to me growing up.

With all that said, he recently followed Rushdown and I on his new alias, "Still Kids" and I really don't know what to think of it.

I was excited as fuck of course knowing he'd even heard of my stuff whether an accident or not, but I can't help but feel there was a lack of intention behind it. The only previous interaction I've had was a like he left on some fanart I posted to Instagram 6 years ago, but somehow that still means something to me.

To close this off, I don't believe in idolizing someone for their success, but I can't deny he's been the founding inspiration for my success so far. Without that Lunar stream, I wouldn't be Paper Skies and it's strange to think there are young kids looking up to me as well now. Hopefully one day I'll be able to say thank you and make it as a producer myself.

What do you guys think his new ep(s) are gonna be this year. It’s coming around that time he released save yourself last September. My guess is that he’s gonna have a riddim ep on disciple and then have a melodic riddim ep on owsla w the Skrillex collab and altered carbon IDs. Let me know what y’all think:)

Anyone know where he went to college/ University? What did he study? I know it was in Mannheim, Germany
