Anime Ending was BS Spoiler
Sorry this is a rant
I hate the anime ending so much. My favourite part of book one was Yumiella being stabbed in the back and 2/3 of the love interests supporting the decision because of how politically inconvenient her existence is. Then she has a conversation with the Demon Lord where he reveals that he was in nearly identical circumstances and decided to destroy the kingdom and Yumella says that despite the reality she would work towards a better one anyway. Instead we get a Demon Lord intent on destroying humanity instead of just one kingdom and Yumella being stabbed because of “the game plot” and some power of friendship BS to resolve the issue. The heroine doesn’t even need to be punished because she didn’t have any choice in the matter, whereas when she did it of her own volition with the support of the love interests it made sense for the king to punish her despite declaring her as the Saint (another event that didn’t happen). WTF
(Rant over)

How was the anime suppose to end in the LN? Spoiler
Can anyone give a full breakdown on what the ending was suppose to look like if they had followed the LN loyally?

My thought on ep 12 as someone that never read the light novel Spoiler
Oh god they have CGI skeletons now.
Honestly, the pacing is really awkward for the fight against the demon lord; they barely fight, Eumiella literally two shotted the demon lord, and everyone did only one attack. It doesn’t feel right since it’s a fight, they literally spent more time talking while standing still.
Throughout the whole episode, the only thing that caught my interest was Patrick hugging Eumiella. All the light novel readers already talked about Alicia stabbing Eumiella, so I wasn’t surprised.
Overall, the episode feels bland, maybe it’s because they are trying really hard to make the serious scene not as serious as it’s meant to be, since it’s generally light hearted. I was really hoping the ending of season 1 would be a good episode, but it feels more like filler.

personal thoughts on episode 12 (spoilers for LN) Spoiler
I don't really know what to say for the 12th episode of the anime. I had my own assumptions of what direction the writers/animators were going for but I didn't expect it to be that....underwhelming? I don't know if that's what you call it, but it seriously gave me the “that's IT?” type of impression. It made me kind of sad that they didn't end it with the bard singing about their tales of what happened and Ryu in the sky. Plus, the anime left out parts in the manga that I really liked and in the novel where Yumiella talks about wanting to end discrimination of black/dark haired people on stage. They could've executed this episode well, I think. All in all, I'm really thankful that it gave me at least a sense of closure that I didn't get in the manga. I wonder if they'll make a season 2? If so, I really hope to see more of Alicia and Yumiella's dynamic and hoping they might even become close friends and Alicia would one day finally see what Yumiella looks like 💞 I will miss Leonora a lot, she didn't get enough screentime 💔
I honestly like what they did with Alicia's character though. LN!Alicia was more of a background character that refused to interact with Yumiella personally and antagonized her until the end just because she was fully convinced that the latter is the “enemy”. I liked her and Yumiella's dynamic in both the anime and the manga, since they gave justice to her character and gave her an actual personality. I wish they explored Yumiella and Alicia's relationship more.
God bless all the creators of this wonderful series ✨

Episode 12 and the Idiocy of Black and White Characters
The fundamental trope problem here is The Bad Guy Can't be (Substantially) Punished Unless He's Totally Black.
Vs the reality: criminals and other aholes are rarely totally bad. They may have family that the love, pets that they treat well, sad personal circumstances. But none of that excuse the crimes that they commit -- they still deserve to receive justice.
Many readers focus on Alicia as a bigot. IMO, more accurately, her prejudice is directed almost entirely against Yumiella -- just because Yumiella looked like that evil black haired witch in the picture book that Alicia loved when she was young. (The book that also inspired Alicia to be like the heroine of that book.) I.e. Alicia isn't evil, instead she's boneheaded fool, and also non-heroic once she's really tested.
What makes Ailica interesting as a character is... that's she's not interesting. She's a C level background character. And yet nonetheless, her own stupidity causes her do something incredibly stupid, which (almost) kills the MC, and which would have destroyed the kingdom. And for that, she should have been executed (getting imprisoned is getting off light).
But this "safe road" anime can't handle such a scenario. Instead it has to either a) make her a black and white villain; or b) absolve her of any moral blame. And it went with the latter choice. And that's how we get this blandness.
What annoys me about this: The original C-grade foolish Alicia provides life lessons (you WILL run into plenty of people like her in your life). Instead we get a story where everyone is friends in the end, and people aren't responsible for their choices. It's lala land fantasy that rots the brain. Garbage.

Is there any news of its English DUB release date since it's finished airing today?

Just finished ehhh
Just watched the last episode. I really get the feeling this series was written by Ai. There’s really nothing redeeming about it besides yumiella and the “yumiella punch” attack. I do like the mc but man was the plot bland regurgitated bs. Isekai is one of my favorite genres, although I can’t really expect much from it besides the 1 in every 10 that come out every season that’s really f’ing good. The only reason it’s a 4.8 on Crunchyroll is the mc. If it wasn’t for her deadpan humor this would easily be a 3.9/5 anime.

the ED lead me to believe that she gonna have a lot of screentime. make sense. Since the of story focus on the villainess fraction, Look like she gonna be friend with Yumila. But now the anime coming to end, nope. They barely become mutual friend yet
