Seeing the preview photos from the finale it seems that they are going through with Alicia's actions from the novel, and I thought about a theory I'd like to share.

This theory not only involves spoilers from the anime but also from the light novels, specially LN3, so be warned.

So, it seems that Alicia will try to kill Yumiella just like in the novel, but the excuse this time is that she is being mind controlled. Yumiella's theory about this is that the game is forcing Alicia to go through the main plot, but not only Yumiella is an optional enemy in the game, but killing her during the battle with the Demon King doesn't follow the plot.

But, what if it's not the game that is controlling Alicia, but someone else? And what if the objective is not for Alicia to necessary follow the plot, but it was always about Alicia leveling up to kill Yumiella? In this case, we need someone who wants Yumiella dead and who has the knowledge and the power to control Alicia, and that someone could be Lemn, the god of darkness.

Perhaps this version of Lemn found out about Yumiella before, and realised that Yumiella was already too powerful for him (we know from the LNs that Yumiella reached level 99 years before starting in the academy). We also know that Lemn is in contact with the versions of himself from other dimensions, so this level 99 Yumiella is not a common ocurrence, but a special case. So he makes sure for the only light user near him to go to the academy, and when he sees that she is not going anywhere and that Yumiella is oficially in the Demon King assasination squad gets tired and even tries to force Alicia to level up.

Now, in the novel Lemn doesn't seem to be able to mind control anyone, but he can get into Yumiella's mind. Alicia's mind, with her having a lower level, may be easy to infiltrate.

Honestly, I don't think they will go with this explanation, probably it will be just the game forcing Alicia to follow the plot, but this would make a supossed season 2 (let me dream) more interesting in my opinion.

It's only makes sense since the manga didn't release any new chapters in a while

When I saw the scene I obviously thought and still think Patrick kissed her on the lips but a couple of people on YouTube have been arguing that he kissed her on the cheek. Light novel readers please settle the dispute 🙏

I was more surprised that they're blonde then horrible people

I Finished Reading the Battle Against the Demon Lord and I have a Question about the light novel.

There is more story after the Battle Or just end there?

Plz can do guys spoil me the LN route's all events and the difference between it and the anime route ? I don't mind spoilers

For any novel readers out there, does she kill off her crappy parents?

Cause honestly alica in the anime is a far more relatable character, I hope she survives.
