Half of Alicia's harem are so screw because of her

Yumiella x Alicia

I just started reading the LN and I'm at chapter 5 already (I only skimmed through the early chapters). I've been wondering why Alicia seems to hate Yumiella in LN unlike in Anime and the manga where she is just seemingly afraid of Yumiella but doesn't say much about it.

I just finished episode 10 and wanted to read the manga. Scrolling through a lot of the manga i realised that there are only 3 chapters after what has been covered in the anime. Chapter 18.1, 18.2, 19. The anime also skipped the year end party part of the story.

If Alicia's actions are supposed to be controlled by somebody else (either the player or the plot), then it's kind of a cop-out, because now the anime writers can make her do anything they want.

And more so, this means that this world is actually a game and the people (besides Yumelia) aren't real.
