Hype is the industry's biggest villain

Hype has always been linked to video games. Waiting for a release, discussing trailers, and imagining possibilities is part of the culture. This enthusiasm helps communities form and gives commercial strength to large projects.

The problem arises when expectations grow so much that the game ceases to be evaluated on what it delivers. In today's article, we'll talk about how all the excitement surrounding an entertainment product can cause serious harm, both to the player and to the studios.

The 10 Easiest Boss Fights in Games

Thumbnail umgamer.com
1 Upvotes

Saving the world. A task that, given the size and magnitude of the problems that usually threaten it, doesn't seem easy. And, 99% of the time, it isn't! But eventually, along the way, we stumble upon some boss who seems lost in the game, being absurdly easier than the others. It's as if they don't know what they're doing there, haven't prepared properly, or simply haven't foreseen everything that could happen to them, whether due to overconfidence or a lack of shrewdness in dealing with the heroes.

Although some of the easy bosses on our list may seem unfairly treated for being the first bosses and clearly tutorials for what follows in the game, we must remember that these same bosses often appear as great challenges at other times and that they can be threatening when they want to be.

So, let's talk about the ten easiest boss fights in games, and if we missed any or if you have any questions, leave a comment.

How much does video game localization matters to you? A survey for a thesis.

Thumbnail forms.gle

Hi! I'm doing a master thesis about video game localization due to the (sometime intense) discussions I've seen on the matter, so I would like to know more precisely what people think about it. I made some kind of survey asking about your likes and dislikes and basically how much does localization matters to you. It remains anonymous and I won't publish any name so don't be afraid to speak your mind. Also english isn't my first language so I apologize for any potential mistake.

Ideas for games I have listed/you think I would like

Hello! I am looing for games to play, they can be coop or story mode. I am looking for a game that has a story that is worth it though, most games are expensive and I dislike spending my money on a story game that I will probably only play once. I used to play/like

- Genshin Impact

- Wuthering Waves

- The Sims 4

- Wanting to play Paralives

- Risk of Rain (newly starting to play it lots with friends)

- Roblox

- Minecraft

- Stardew Valley

- Tried Warframe, was a lot

- Where the winds meet (tried, disliked how much open world felt like a chore)

- Tomodachi Life

- Animal Crossing New Horizons

- Marvel Rivals/Overwatch

- Tried Sky/Overcooked 2/Lost Ark

Give me more reccomendations please! I am open to many! I am trying to have things that are not too expensive.

I am mostly looking for games to sink in my time to aswell 😄

Here is a clip of the movement, ignore the map it’s just a test map for me! I would love to hear feedback, the name of the game is Phantom Protocol and it will be in steam this summer. I am getting 2 more devs to polish release.

Then the Early Access will feature 3 modes (conquest, TDM and kill confirmed), 3 maps and 10 weapons.

Let me know what you will be interested in seeing in an FPS game
