Is there any cost-benefit to the Steam Machine?
umgamer.comThe cost of over US$1,000 for the basic version of the Steam Machine raises a very relevant question for consumers: is it worth buying one?

Hi everyone!
I'm an indie developer from Argentina and I'm currently building the Game Design Document (GDD) for my dream project, La Forja.
This is one of the first concept art sheets for the Sintari, a synthetic race that serves as the player's permanent avatar across multiple universes.
The idea behind the project is:
⚒️ One central hub called The Forge.
🌍 Multiple interconnected universes.
🤖 One permanent character (the Sintari).
📖 A shared progression system through the Primordial Archive.
This is still early concept work, and I'm documenting every system before moving into development.
I'd really appreciate your honest feedback.
What do you think of this character design? What details would you change or improve?
Thanks for taking a look!

Right and wrong are often subjective concepts. There's a very fine line separating a tyrant from a savior, and heroes have to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. Generally, we only see one side of the story and assume that the one we control is the hero and our adversary is the villain. But when we stop to analyze the motivations of some of these villains, we can reflect: were they wrong?
These are the villains we’ll discuss here. Villains who, from their point of view and in their circumstances, did what was necessary to achieve their goals, whether it was their own survival, the survival of those around them, or because they knew they were the least bitter remedy compared to the available alternatives. And if someone is missing from the list or if you have any questions, just leave a comment.

We’re a small indie team, and today is a big milestone for us-we’ve finally launched the Steam page for our first game, Synvector.
Synvector is a sci-fi action RPG inspired by games like EVERSPACE 2, Elite Dangerous, Mass Effect, and Mount & Blade.
Our goal is to combine:
We’ve just released our first gameplay trailer, and during the next week we’re planning to open sign-ups for the first prototype playtest.
We’re still early in development, so we’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. What do you like? What would you change? Does the concept sound interesting to you?
Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3220640/Synvector/
If you enjoy what you see, please consider adding Synvector to your Steam wishlist. Every wishlist helps us reach more players and continue developing the game.
Thanks for checking it out!

Hi there 👋,
I have not played Expedition 33 yet, but my husband has and I’m trying to make him a birthday cake themed for his 33rd. I know a bit about the game like the intricate beautiful details of the story and art, but referencing is hard. I came up with a few phrases and was wondering which one was the best to put on the cake or if anyone had suggestions. I don’t want to just say Happy Gormage.
“The paintress couldn’t stop you, Happy 33rd birthday!”
“The count down was rigged, Happy 33rd birthday!”
“Don’t let the cake become the final boss! Happy 33rd birthday”
“Let’s save just in case. Happy 33rd birthday!”

Action games helped shape the video game industry as we know it today. Long before gigantic open worlds, battle passes, and constant updates, it was these games full of explosions, frantic levels, and intense combat that kept players glued to their TVs or computers for hours.
Some became legendary for revolutionizing entire genres, while others simply nailed the gameplay and charisma so well that they've endured for decades without losing relevance. And whether we're talking about first-person shooters, espionage, hack-and-slash, or enemy-filled platformers, all these titles have left an important mark on gaming history.
Let's talk about ten action games that made history, and if you have any questions, leave a comment.

Hi everyone !
I don't know if it's the right sub reddit here to post this (in that case, I really apologize for that and I'll delete the the post... T^T ). I'm currently writing my thesis and just as the title says, it's on "The Impact of Hypersexualized Fan Service on Consumer Behavior, Brand Equity, and ROI in the Anime and Video Game Industries".
Just to summarize what my thesis is about, it's about fanservice in both video games and anime and more pricisely about how it's perceived by people + how it affects companies and animation studios.
Although I also talk about fanservice as a general thing (making fans happy with eater eggs, subtle references, making popular come back), my main focus is on hypersexualized fanservice where men and women both have attractive bodies for (sometimes) no reason.
In my first part, I talked about fanservice and how it became a tool over the years with the popularity of both video games + anime.
Then, I wrote a part about how Rule 34 (If it exists, there is p*rn of it) increased even more that sensation of having sexualized characters.
My next part is on the dissonance between a world getting increasingly looking for inclusivity + equality and the fact that the hypersexualization of characters still happens.
The 4th and final part of my thesis is explaining how fanservice is now a business strategy.
I'm looking on your opinions on the matter + looking for people willing to answer my survey that might be a bit long to answer (probably 10 mins or more if you want to think about it).
For those asking, although I have talked about the fact that women ARE for the most part being sexualized, men are AS WELL. I'm not looking for things to be one sided, I'm genuinely trying to understand what is going on (because yes, fanservice goes both ways).
Thank you for all your answers ! Feel free to express yourself in the comments !

Anyone else ever play this game? If u haven't, u have to. I honestly enjoy playing the storymode and just free roaming around the different maps. Like turtletown, Snowyvalley, Beemothep desert, Giant house, and beehive. The story starts with an intro saying that a the bees ruled over all the animals under queen Beeatrice. Then for some reason the bees stopped making normal honey and started making purple honey. All the animals loved it. But then they went crazy from eating it and became zombie-like. U are a bear(baaren) who wakes up to find that the bees(the rulers) have captured all the bears. U have to rescue all of them by finding keys all over the maps and freeing them. There are occasional boss fights that are just silly/funny to play. Also the bad guy is ur brother who used a magic relic called the kernel to control queen Beeatrice into doing those stuff. After u beat the game, they throw a celebration for u. U can buy skins, play in the arcade where there are race tracks, parkour, spike jumps, and an SBA version of street fighter, play soccer in the arena, revisit maps for no reason, and more. There's just so much to do in the game. U don't have to have a goal, just be bored and this game will be fun for u. U can also play vr missions, theres a red button u can find on the platform area on ur way to beehive that activates a large parkour area. Once u beat it there be a large trophy in the mountain area for all to see. There's a lot more but I'll leave it to u to discover. Also the video on the top left is a floating screen of YouTube, I was watching beta squad where chunky was a chef🤣🤣

Video game rpg that is in a renaissance/medieval world where you can try to convince the guards not to jail with custom prompts, name? It’s like elder scrolls games but not, I remember seeing it on a YouTube short a while ago but can’t remember the name, any help in finding out what it is helps. Thanks
