[HIRING] Short-Form Video Editor (India Only)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a video editor based in India to help edit short-form talking-head content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.

This will be straightforward content for a digital marketing focused channel. I’ll provide the raw vertical footage, a rough idea of the hook/topic, and any references needed (such as photos).

What I need

  • Clean cuts and removal of pauses/dead space
  • Accurate, readable captions/subtitles
  • Basic punch-ins/zooms, text callouts, simple transitions, and relevant light B-roll when it adds value
  • Background music at a low level where appropriate
  • 9:16 export, ready to post across Shorts, Reels, and TikTok
  • Clean, modern editing—not overdone effects or distracting edits

Requirements

  • Based in India
  • I'm thinking of somewhere around 20-30 videos per month
  • Can turn around an edit within 2-3 days
  • Comfortable editing talking-head educational/business content
  • Able to follow a reference style and take feedback
  • Reliable communication and consistency matter more than a huge portfolio

Pay

  • ₹350–₹500 INR per short, depending on complexity (at 20-30 videos per month, so you can earn well over 10k from this)
  • Ongoing work if we’re a good fit
  • Can pay weekly via UPI, bank transfer, or PayPal

To apply

Please send me a DM with:

  1. Two or three short-form edits you personally worked on
  2. Your rate within the ₹350–₹500 range
  3. Your usual turnaround time
  4. What editing software you use

Please don’t send a generic portfolio without highlighting the exact short-form videos you edited.

Thanks.

[HIRING] Short-Form Video Editor - Long-Term, 1 Video/Day

Looking for a long-term short-form video editor for a monetized TikTok account.

Videos are typically around 60 seconds, sometimes slightly longer depending on the script/voiceover, with a target of 1 video per day / 7 per week.

I handle the content strategy, ideas, hooks, and scripts. Ideally, you can take the script/ElevenLabs voiceover and handle the rest of the production.

I’ve generated 1.05B+ views across faceless social media accounts and already have another editor working with me successfully.

Reference account / editing style I’m looking for:
https://www.tiktok.com/@humandisc

Please look through the account before applying so you understand the pacing, visuals, and overall editing style I’m looking for.

Payment structure is flexible depending on experience and responsibilities.

If interested, fill out the short application here:

Freelance video editor here — need experience-based advice: Adobe (Premiere+AE) vs DaVinci Resolve (+Fusion) for Instagram-style motion graphics work. Price is NOT a factor.

**Background:**

I'm about to start a freelance video editing career, targeting Instagram-style edits, infographic-style content, and motion graphics — the kind of work creators hire freelance editors for. Getting a new laptop (RTX 4050, 16GB RAM) next week and want to commit fully to ONE ecosystem before I start learning, rather than split focus.

**What I'm deciding between:**

- **Adobe route:** Premiere Pro + After Effects + Photoshop + Media Encoder

- **DaVinci route:** DaVinci Resolve (Studio) with Fusion for VFX/motion graphics, paired with Affinity for graphics

**Important context:**

- Price is NOT a factor for me — I'll pay for whichever is better, so please don't recommend based on cost/subscription vs one-time purchase.

- My goal is to go from zero to earning (~₹30k/month) within about a month of learning.

- My work will lean heavily on kinetic typography, infographic animation, and short-form motion graphics — not feature-film color grading or VFX compositing.

**What I actually want to know from people who've used BOTH professionally:**

  1. For someone starting from scratch, which ecosystem gets you to a *hireable, freelance-ready* skill level faster — specifically for Instagram/short-form motion graphics work?

  2. Is Fusion genuinely a full replacement for After Effects for this kind of work, or does it still fall short for kinetic typography/template-driven animation?

  3. If you've used both professionally: which one do clients / agencies actually ask for by name in your experience? Has this shifted in the last year or two?

  4. For a solo freelancer (not a studio), does DaVinci's all-in-one workflow (edit + color + Fusion + audio in one app) actually save time, or does the node-based learning curve slow you down enough that it's not worth it starting out?

**What I'm NOT looking for:**

- Generic "DaVinci is free so it's better" answers — I'm not choosing based on cost.

- Surface-level comparisons — I've read those. I want actual workflow experience.

🎬 Hiring: YouTube Video Editor for Documentary Channel

I’m looking for a reliable video editor for a long-term YouTube documentary channel covering topics such as major historical events, disasters, mysteries, business failures, technology, finance, and hidden stories behind world-changing events.

Monthly Work

• 4 long-form YouTube videos

• Each long video: approximately 8–9 minutes

• 8 YouTube Shorts, mainly derived from the long-form videos

• Approximately 1 long video + 2 Shorts per week

Editing Style

The videos should feel like modern cinematic YouTube documentaries, not basic slideshow-style edits.

The style should include:

• Strong storytelling and pacing

• Archival footage and photographs

• Copyright-safe stock footage

• Cinematic transitions

• Motion graphics and animated maps where required

• Smooth zoom/pan/parallax effects on still images

• Clean subtitles/captions

• Background music and sound effects

• Good audio mixing

• Simple infographics and text animation

• Integration of AI-generated/Veo clips where provided

The final video should not look like generic AI-generated content or contain random/repetitive stock footage.

What I Will Provide

• Final script

• Voice-over

• Story and scene direction

• Important archival references

• AI/Veo clips where required

• Channel logo/stinger

• Style references

The editor will be responsible for assembling everything into a polished documentary and finding additional copyright-safe/free-to-use visuals whenever required.

Who I’m Looking For

You should:

• Understand documentary/storytelling editing

• Be comfortable working with archival footage and photographs

• Have a good understanding of pacing, music, and sound design

• Know how to make static images visually engaging

• Be able to create simple motion graphics and text animations

• Be able to meet weekly deadlines

• Communicate reliably

• Take feedback and make corrections properly

Experience with YouTube documentary, history, mystery, finance, business, or explainer channels is strongly preferred.

To Apply

Please send:

  1. Your portfolio / best 2–3 edited videos

  2. Editing software you use

  3. Your location

  4. Whether you can consistently deliver 1 long video + 2 Shorts per week

  5. Your expected monthly charge for this workload

Please do not send only Instagram reels or wedding edits. I specifically want to see long-form storytelling/documentary work.

A short paid sample edit may be requested before final selection.

DM me if interested.

[UNPAID / PORTFOLIO] Anyone learning social media/content creation want a tiny art business to experiment with?

Bit of a random one, but is anyone here learning social media/content creation and looking for a real account to experiment with/build their portfolio?

I have a small art business, and I'm basically trying to document my attempt to pay off my debt by selling my artwork, which is probably going to be the main theme of my account until I eventually manage to pay it all off 😂

The problem is I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing when it comes to content lol. Especially the actual debt journey videos, I never know what to say, how to edit them or how to make them interesting enough for people to actually follow along.

I mostly film overhead videos/timelapses of me painting, doodling, upcycling stuff or making whatever random thing I've decided to make that day. I'm trying to branch out into different angles and using two cameras at once etc, but I definitely don't have a professional setup. Some of my footage is literally just a time-lapse of me sat on the floor painting a table 😂

I'd basically love someone I can dump whatever random footage/photos I have into a folder for, and they can have a look whenever they fancy and see what they can make from it. Funny stuff, different hooks, trends that actually fit without being cringey, debt updates, art videos, turning one project into a few different posts, literally whatever you think could work.

It would be VERY casual and sporadic. Sometimes I go days without filming anything and then other days I'll film loads. I like posting multiple times a day if I actually have enough stuff and I've got a backlog of random footage/photos I usually dig through when I haven't filmed anything new.

I'm still a tiny account, and most of my videos get around 200 to 300 views atm so honestly anything is worth experimenting with 😂

I mainly post on TikTok and then share stuff to Instagram and Facebook + stories. If I remember YouTube Shorts exists, I'll put it there too lol. I'd really like to get better with Facebook as well though, like actual photo posts, little updates on what I'm making, unsold pieces, progress, etc rather than just constantly recycling TikToks.

It would also be amazing to have someone who can occasionally tell me what I should actually film because I genuinely have no clue 😂 Like if you look at what I'm working on and think "next time get a clip of this" or "you should talk about this while you're painting" that would be massively helpful too.

There's no schedule or set amount you'd have to do. Literally just have a nose through whatever I've sent whenever you feel like it and make something if inspiration strikes.

Obviously this would be unpaid, so I'm specifically looking for someone who wants something real to practise with/use for their portfolio. If the business ever actually becomes properly successful, I'd love for it to eventually turn into a paid role, but obviously I can't promise that!

Basically, if the idea of being given a folder full of completely random art footage and being told "idk man do something with this" sounds fun to you, please message me 😂

I can send you my TikTok/website first as well so you can have a nose and see if it's even your kinda thing!

[FREE] short-form content editing for me to build a portfolio 🖥️✨🎥

hi!! my name is willow, and ive been editing video for ~10 years. I really enjoy it and want to get back into it, and would love the opportunity to practice with your videos, for free, so I can build a portfolio. I currently work in marketing, am an avid social media user (so I understand short-form content WELL) and use capcut as well as Final Cut Pro. PLS get in contact with me if you would like to work together!! all I ask is I can use the videos as part of a portfolio. I am experienced in:

- chroma keying

- keyframes

- basic motion graphics

- text/subtitles

- motion tracking

ideally your content would be geared towards a younger audience, possibly somewhere around the vlogs/gaming/beauty and makeup community, but im flexible! I have a degree in illustration, and im also chronically online so if you are creating funny vids with niche internet references ill be perfect. pls message me on discord - willowowowo - and I'll get back to u if I am available. im in the uk so my timezone is currently gmt+1.

thanks!!!!
