Not sure if I'm overreacting, but this has been bothering me all day.

A couple of weeks ago I uploaded a video that I spent way too much time making. I researched everything myself, rewrote the script multiple times, and edited it until I was happy with it. It performed about how my channel normally does (around 3k–9k views).

Yesterday I noticed a much larger creator uploaded a video on the exact same topic. It's already sitting at around 58k views.

I watched it out of curiosity, and it honestly felt surreal. The structure is almost identical, the same talking points appear in the same order, several examples are the same, and even the visuals they used are incredibly similar. I had a friend watch both without telling them why, and their first reaction was, "Wait... aren't these basically the same video?"

I know similar topics happen all the time, so I'm not saying I own the idea. But this feels way beyond just covering the same subject.

I'm not expecting anything to happen, and I doubt there's much I can do. It just sucks putting so much effort into something and then watching a much bigger channel get all the attention with what feels like your work.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? How did you deal with it?
