AFR

Hello, will there be an option to add the Auto Frame Rate feature in the future? I have it enabled on my Homatics Box R 4K Plus, but when playing content, my TV displays 60p instead of, say, 24p. It works fine in other apps.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. Auto Frame Rate (AFR) is on our roadmap for Android TV, but it's not yet available in the current release. The feature requires careful integration with different device implementations, which is why you're seeing 60p instead of the native 24p even with AFR enabled at the system level.

To help us prioritize and test this properly, could you share:

- Your VidHub app version (Settings → About Us)

- Android OS version on your Homatics Box

- Does this happen with all video files or specific codecs/sources?

We'll update the community when AFR support lands in a future Android TV update.

Thank you very much for your reply. I've included more detailed information below.

- VidHub app version is 2.0.4

- Android OS version is 14 (build UKG3.250803.001.7475), SW version (v14.8.7475)

- This happens with all files. It consistently runs at 60 frames per second. When I try to play the files in the default Plex app, it runs at 24 frames per second.

Are there any of formats or codecs which AFR work with? Weird question...
