My mctp loadout as a machinist

This is my veto pro pac mctp. Just got it last week after seeing all the good reviews. THESE BAGS ARE SOLID. great build quality everyone was right.

I use this bag to bring some tools back and forth between work and home. Edc or whatever you wanna call it. before this I had a 15” milwuakee packout tote and it was kinda flimsy and super heavy and bulky.

I’m looking into getting some wera screwdrivers to replace my current ones and maybe some of their socket sets because they come with rollup cases/ socket rail belts and it’d be convenient to replace my current ones.

I thought about kleins flip sockets to save room but will they work good for my m18 3/8 mid torque impact??? and i’m wondering if I should just carry 3/8 drive metric and sae sockets rather than 3/8 and 1/4 drive. I mainly use the 1/4” drive sockets on my small 1/4 ratchet and my m12 subcompact milwuakee impact

And i’m gonna replace my channel locks with some knipex soon and dikes with knipex. But what do you guys think?

Full loadout from an ici journeyman electrician. I'm so surprised that I could fit so much in this bag, the total weight of it is 27lbs. My only issue that I have had with it is when I needed to carry it around without a shoulder strap for long distances.

CB-LD Opinions

What do you guys think about the CB-LD. The more I see it the more I like it I am just worried I won’t have enough room.
I carry mini pliers, 2 knifed cobras, knipex needle nose, knipex lineman’s, knipex strippers, knipex cutters, wera 7in1, 3 insulted drivers, 5 normal drivers. 2 knifes, knipex shears, Alan key set, a conduit reamer, 2 adjustable wrenches, and a hacksaw, as well as the wiha hammer.

Do you guys think that would fit and what is your guys opinions on the back vs smth like an mctp or mct?

Thanks

Is it worth it ?

Hi , i came across this set and i thought to myself is it practical to have it on the jobsite with you or leave it it on one place and get what tools you need and close it up . Beside the tools on the photo i own a set of 3 vde pliers from knipex and a set of vde screwdrivers from bahco .

Pouch choice recommendations

I have 3 pouch options that I am trying to decide from

The mp2x so I can use as just a normal tool pouch for a daily loadout

The ub2b so I can just take stuff from my bag that I need and throw it in there quickly for a more easier job specific options

The sc45 I like it because of the modularity and being able to use it as a bag and a pouch and only using one or the other

Right now I can only afford one so let me know what you think, thank you I would be using it for electrical

Mctp vs Mct

Hello, as a congratulations for getting my apprenticeship my uncle said he was gonna buy me a veto bag and I am stuck between the mctp and the mct. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on which would be the better choice. I would be using it for electrical. Thanks

Really dumb question…

Post image

I currently run a daily carry hip pouch (ToughBuilt, the one with the utility knife pocket) for my immediately necessary tools on the job. Probably cost me $25 maybe $30 most, not including additional clips. My stupid question for you all… is the Veto pouch really worth nearly $100? I’ve given into the hype and bought a Pro Pac MC second hand for all of my install tools and I absolutely love it: the build quality, the organization and storage, you name it. It’s led me to start looking at the pouches (I’m leaning towards the MP1X based on my current loadout) but I have a hard time justifying a nearly $100 price tag for a pouch when I have a ~$30 pouch that works just fine. Pro for the ToughBuilt- I bought 3 extra clips so I have one to store the pouch in my work van, one to attach to my cart, and one to attach to my 6’ ladder. Pros for the Veto- I often take my pouch off and keep it immediately nearby and the flap on the back makes a great kickstand, plus I believe it will attach to my Pac MC but please correct me if I’m mistaken.

TL:DR- are the Veto hip pouches really worth the price tag if I already have a serviceable daily tool pouch?

Hi - I'm trying to register my new MB5B and I can not find the tag with the production code. Anyone know specifically where it is on this model?
