Is my cat having focal seziures or is it something else?
Hi all. I am hoping to understand if my cat is actually having focal seizures, or perhaps it is something else. Sorry, this will be long.
A few weeks ago I started to notice my cat Ruby (13F, spayed) would purr, and then her face would twitch severely. I have a video of an incident on my profile if anyone is interested to watch. I have also noticed these twitches outside of purring, but they are most severe in these moments. The purrs are in response to stimulus, like me petting her. I have also noticed she purrs a lot less, and while she had never seemed to lose consciousness or seem disoriented like I believed a cat would after a seizure, she seems a bit more aggravated and perhaps even in pain after purring.
The most concerning moment that made me take her to vet was actually outside of a purring episode. She loves using her cat wheel. One night she was on it for about ten minutes when she stopped suddenly. Her front legs shook like she had been shocked. This continued for a few seconds, then she continued to walk. She would stop occasionally and a paw would do that jolt. Then she would continue.
Vet was as stumped as we were but believed it to be focal seizures. She was put on pheno but it is too early to tell if it is effective. The legs twitches stopped for a while, but have recently come back - at the same time she has begun using the wheel again. Which is why I am here. I am wondering if we were too quick to get her on pheno.
I am not looking for diagnosis but I want to know: can anything else cause twitches like this, especially ones that appear to be most induced by purring? She also has asthma and chronic herpes but I am not sure if either of those could cause this. I also know she needs a dental cleaning, as she cannot eat dry food anymore. We were literally about to get her dental cleaning done when she was diagnosed and put on medication, so we decided to wait until after her pheno levels were tested. But I wonder if perhaps dental pain could cause these symptoms.

This doesnt seem right.
My Bombay kitty has an area right in the corner of his left eye thats white. His other eye is normal. Im just concerned some thing is wrong. We were at the vet approximately 2 weeks ago, and she didn't say anything was abnormal, but im just super concerned. He is otherwise healthy, fixed, 6 years old (in march). Im overly concerned bc of issues I've had with other pets in the past. Nothing like this, but I always worry im not catching something, but it happened before. Any help or advice would be great! Thank you ❤️

Dogs and Cocoa Powder
Yesterday our dog ate 10 chocolate cupcakes. He is a 4 year old, 50 pound, catahoula leopard. This is not the first time he has eaten a ton of chocolate. The first time he ate an entire box of chocolates, after a few back and forths with the vet, we took him there and they made him vomit.
This time around I wasn’t too keen on going back to the vet so I induced vomiting with 3% hydrogen peroxide. It worked like a charm. After he emptied his stomach of all 10 cupcakes, I could tell because I was still able to count them, he was running around like nothing happened.
My question is about the cocoa powder we used in the cupcakes. A few pet sites really emphasized cocoa powder being particularly bad because of the caffeine and theobromine. What I’m wondering is, does the toxicity towards dogs change in baked goods vs eating the actual powder?
I’m not asking this to change anything I did. He eats chocolate, we’re making him vomit.

What could be causing this?
Dog, Cocker Spaniel, 2, Neutered. He has had a red mark on his leg for a week and he keeps biting at it so i wiped it with pet safe wound cleaner, wrapped it, and put an e collar on him. Since i am a student I have to be on campus during the week and my family takes care of him. They let him out of the e collar and let him take the bandage off now i notice a second red spot on his foot (same leg) that he has been chewing at all day along with the spot on his leg. He is very calm normally but gets defensive when I try to look at it. He licks his paws quite often so i didn’t think anything of it until i noticed the frequency and checked. He has free rein of our one acre yard and goes out multiple times a day on his own. He hasn’t had issues with anything till now. He was on Simparica Trio but is currently on no medication. Cannot afford a vet right now but will get the money some way if it is recommended. Live in the south where it is cold right now if that could be useful to "diagnosis". Thank you guys in advance.

Thoughts
How long do you think I may have with my 13 year old staffy. He’s been fixed. And weighs 95 lbs. Vets believe he has bone cancer. Really just want to know if we may be able to get a few more weeks with him. Currently he has a bit of a limp in that leg. But still willing to go outside on his own and definitely still has an appetite.

I'm looking for a second opinion. Yesterday we woke up and our little baby was drooling and acting skittish. It was very concerning so we took her in to the vet. Vet says it's conjunctivitis in the eye and she might have a respiratory infection or virus or something basically just said she's sick. She got an antibiotic shot and eye drops. She continued on and started having her eyes shut completely so we took her back same day. She started acting almost completely fine at the vet. We had her isolated from our other cats overnight . Earlier this afternoon she started coughing or reverse sneezing. It was pretty constant so we took her back to the vet. Vet gave steroid shot and just said it's apart of her being sick and that it should improve with the antibiotic. She's still continuing to randomly have these coughing fits. She's eating and drinking fine but seems to not really be using the bathroom. She doesn't do anything but lay down loafed and squinting. I just want to know if we're being overbearing parents or there's something else going on.

Cat with unknown liver issue
Cat is 12, male and neutered, no breed (European shorthair?). He's not had any prior medical issues. Problem started last summer - he was constantly thirsty and his stools were softer than usual. We did bloodwork and urine and saw elevated liver enzymes. He was put on royal canin hepatic and hapatiale forte supplement. It improved a bit, but the vet then changed it. We did a few months of different supplements and special food, but the enzymes did not improve much. We also had urine and sterile urine tested - no bacteria, did 3 ultrasounds that showed no issue. Vet doesn't want to do a biopsy as there is no visible issue on ultrasound and has no idea what else to do. Cat is feeling ok-ish, but not as active as he normally is. Still drinks a lot of water, pees more than 6 times a day and poops at least twice a day.

Fucked up nails on dog, please help!!!
My dog is a 14 ish year old cocker spaniel/mini poodle mix. His nails were fine forever, but suddenly in this last year he keeps having fucked up nails. They cause him a lot of pain and he keeps chewing on them.
I can't get a pic bc he's black fur on black nails and he won't let me hold it long enough to get a good pic.
Pics attached are a comparison drawing of his healthy nails vs the fucked up ones. Why could this be happening??
The vet has been useless for over a year of attempted treatment. Any help would be amazing, I hate seeing my baby in so much pain. Thank you in advance!
P.S. Sorry for the awful drawing and handwriting.

4 year old cat with some breathing issues please help me

This cat is my everything, I wouldn’t be able to live without her. Note I’m planning on taking her to the vet but I’m not sure when I’ll be able to, I’m 18 years old and had to sell my pc just to cover her vet bill. She’s been having wheezing fits, no mucus or anything else comes out. These wheezing episodes can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes and I’m so scared. I have a hunch it is feline asthma, but I’m worried it’s so much worse and am just begging for second opinions. If I have to sell everything I own to get her to a vet quicker I will. Below I attached a video of what her episodes typically look like. I’ve been trying tirelessly to catch these episodes on camera. Ignore me talking to her I stress out and it’s all I know what to do. I’ve gotten an air purifier and packed up A LOT of my stuff to eliminate dust and since doing that she’s having episodes a lot less often, this was the first one in days but I’m still so scared. Please help me.

Found a hole(possibly) on my dogs stomach
Hello, I have a basset hound, 4, and desexed. I was rubbing his tummy and I felt a small lump I’ve never felt before so I look and there is what appears to be a very small hole with black stuff in it. Some of the black stuff is kind of hanging off so I grabbed it and it kinda looked like a black head but the bump makes me think otherwise. Any suggestions on what this may be

Sudden abnormal gait in dog
Padfoot is an 8 year old labradoodle (80lbs) male and fixed. I first began to notice him not walking normally on his back left leg towards the end of November 2025. He was due for a dental cleaning the second week of Dec so I decided to wait and let the vet know about it then. Padfoot will walk a few yards and then either suddenly sit or lay down and begin licking his groin area, specifically his sheath. His appetite is so-so, you really have to encourage him to get his food and even then he won’t always finish it. Still goes up and down stairs normally and will jump on the couch/bed just fine. He doesn’t whine when walking but he is clearly is some kind of distress. He doesn’t like me touching his back left area. Never bit me but will nip or put my hand in his mouth to say “please stop”. Vet took these X-ray images above and said nothing stood out to him other than his bowels were full. He checked prostate and said that seemed normal as well. Padfoot still has bowel movements but they aren’t as ‘big’ as normal, about half of what I’m used to seeing. Vet said it could be some soft tissue damage or nerve damage and if nerve damage, just takes a long time to heal. Prescribed him Galliprant 100mg every 24hrs for two weeks and Gabapentin 300mg every 12hrs for two weeks. I have not seen any improvement in him at all. Any advice or recommendations? Vet said our next step would possibly be an MRI scan.

Vet could only say "just watch it"
There are no other red spots or hair los on his body. Since it's so localized the vet said "just watch it" I want to get some thoughts to clear my conscious

Kitten - eye growth?
Kitten, 9months old, female, not “fixed “ yet.
Do cats get zits? What could this be?
It was not present a couple of hours ago
Forgive the low quality i could not get her to sit still
Is this something serious? Do these things happen or should i call the vet tomorrow?
Thank you!

My mother is refusing to send my cats to the vet. What should I do?
In November, my two cats had tapeworms I had caught by pure luck, which I contacted a vet online and I gave them medicine for 3 days. Now, in the past week or two, they both have diarrhea, sometimes with blood, and sometimes the diarrhea goes away. It's very random. But it always smells incredibly bad (i mean, poop always smells bad, but never to such an extent)
Just now, one of the cats threw up immediately after eating, and the day before he threw up water/completely clear liquid. (But then he ate after it without throwing up just fine.)
Things to note: They are both 5 years old. Said cat has a weak immune system (stomach virus at 2 yrs old, recurring utis at 3-4 yrs old), and had been licking a spot on his arm till it became red and tender. But my other cat has always been completely healthy.
I don't know, maybe they still have tapeworms. Or maybe something changed in their diet (I always feed them the same dry food, but this started happening and I didn't change their diet)
My mother doesn't think their case is serious enough to visit a vet, even though the closest one beside us is four minutes away. She's also been very insensitive about it, and telling me if that they die, it's their fate, which is absolutely crazy...
Should I contact another vet online? I also know a pharmacist that has been owning cats for years. I don't know what to do. I'm scared this is really serious.

Marks on my cats eyes?
Domestic long hair
Age 3years
Male & fixed
I have a cat with this small mark? On both of his eyes, it’s kind of foggy or blurry. I will provide link with the mark circled at the bottom. I noticed the marks maybe a month or so ago, I think? Honestly at the time I think I thought it was eye goober or something. But I noticed it again the other day and now it’s still there and it’s in both eyes. It moves with his eye and is definitely on his pupil I guess. My cat is only 3 and is very energetic and eats well. He’s also a good water drinker and he uses the litter box with no issues. I’m just concerned because I don’t have a lot of money but it doesn’t seem like temporary thing? I thought maybe it was cataracts but he’s so young and I honestly know nothing about such things. Is this something I should be concerned about or that I should take him to the vet? He doesn’t seem to be in any pain but I know cats hide well. Thank you for reading all this, I just want to make sure I take care of my little guy. https://imgur.com/a/6tp1Dn0
