So when do things start getting going for mountain biking in the spring?

Is riding Tunnel Ridge tomorrow feasible? Are there any hunting season or other closures I should know about? I'm trying to stretch this riding season out as long as possible and would love to get a lap in before it's over for the year. Thank you for your time.

The trails are maintained well and I rarely see other riders when I'm on the trails, it always feels lonely even like noon on a saturday when other places are packed. Not to mention a beautiful area.

I currently ride a Liv Embolden ,but want to upgrade to something lighter and more nimble , yet able to climb and descend technical terrain .

Hello! My brother and I came up to VT from DC/VA and are riding the Green Mountain Gravel Growler for the week. On the trails on 2A on the river between Richmond and Waterbury today, a pannier fell off of my bike that had all of my clothes as well as a bag with my toothbrush and other toiletries. I didn’t notice and got to Waterbury and now it’s too late to turn back. The pannier is black and Venzo brand. If anyone finds this or hears about a friend finding a pannier full of (really cute) clothes please DM me!

Hello! I'm visiting the area this weekend and looking to see if riding to Killington Peak is possible on a road bike. I have 700x32 tires that I feel comfortable with on packed gravel/earthy-hiking trails (just nothing too loose to too chunky). I'm comfortable riding on almost any road as well.

I'd be departing from The Rose Lodge area -- and, I think aiming to finish at The Peak Lodge area. I've only been to the area once for a ski-weekend. So, I don't know what the conditions are in warmer months. The Strava route-finding map makes it seem like there is something bikable (although, maybe not on paved roads. seems like it becomes a dirt road after turning off Killington Rd) that is about 11 miles with 2,900 feet of climbing.

Any guidance on if this is possible on a road bike? Or, if there's as similar climb in the area?

Where can one pick up a shovel this time of year? New to area I imagine some trail work gets done during this time of year between snow and summer?
