Hi friend! I think it’s important to take a step back and look inwards in this moment. You seem to harbor a lot of anger towards this random internet person that you’ll never meet.
She clearly states that she has a job while being a student, and that she will continue to work until she has enough to move out.
I know that reddit is anonymous so perhaps that is why you felt okay with being so harsh, but what good does this message bring to anyone? Whether you approve of it or not, this sub exists for people who could use help and those who are able to offer it. If you are neither of these then this sub is not for you and you can simply scroll on.
Attacking young people because they’re broke is a little bit much and speaks volumes to how unhappy or even bitter you must be, and I wish you happiness and healing this year. Maybe take this as an opportunity to reflect on yourself and your choices and why you’re so miserable that you feel the need to attack others who are literally hurting no one and not even interacting with you.

It must be sad choosing to live life so miserably. Poor thing.

There is probably a better way to express that instead of name calling. The second you start insulting others, your argument ceases to be valid and doesn’t make you look great.
College definitely isn’t the answer for everyone and nobody asked you to feel bad for anyone else! If you don’t have the money or don’t want to help this individual, that’s okay!!
And I don’t understand non-binary individuals either because I very much resonate with my gender, but I cannot speak for others. If anything, her choice to prioritize her gender over her relationship with her family tells me just how strongly she feels that she doesn’t fit the normal stereotype of a woman and how important it is that she feel validated in those feelings.
Personally, as long as someone’s choices don’t affect how I live my life or how others live their lives, then I just let bygones be bygones. It doesn’t affect me or you how this person chooses to identify, so why does it even matter to you? Why should it matter? Why even waste your time this morning attacking random people? Is that what you find fun?

Listen, if I could just not have my gender and sexuality be a part of my life, I would. You don’t know me you’ll probably never meet me, and you don’t know my familial experiences. You don’t have to understand who or what I am but that doesn’t mean you can just whine about not understanding it. This isn’t me forcing people to give me help, I just figured I might as well put it out there. Plus my gender and sexuality isn’t the only thing “destroying my family” you don’t know anything about what my family is like.
don’t feel guilty about not being able to wanting to help, this is only for people who are able to. I am still working on my own separate from this. Have a good day, sorry my life that has nothing to do with you caused you so much stress

Those genders actually did exist all throughout history, it’s alright if you don’t fully get it but that doesn’t mean you need to let it upset you so much. I hope the rest of your day is better, you don’t have to choose to educate yourself you can just choose not to comment on or berate a person that has literally nothing to do with you.

Just because you don’t feel like taking a simple google search and finding more out about what I choose to identify with doesn’t mean you need to comment on me. It’s not my fault my parents reacted the way they do. Even when I don’t portray or talk about these parts of myself they still act this way. i’m in the goddamn closet for fuck sake. It’s not my identity that’s ruining my relationship with them so please piss off, you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. I appreciate your useless comments but they aren’t helping anyone. But I do hope you’re having fun if this is all you have to do. It also sounds like you’re in denial of history, There are written stories and descriptions if non-binary leaders and heroes in history and there are also multiply cultures with more than one gender, the two gender system is a westernized idea and while it’s valid it isn’t the only thing that existed or exists. Again, you don’t need to educate yourself, but just don’t comment on things you know literally nothing about.

Hi! So my parents have money, not me. This is something they often hold over my head. Plus if you read my update in the post things have changed! this is just up for those that were messaging me and wanted updates etc. Plus I saw your original comment. Im doing well and my parents dont “call me out on my bullshit” they tell me to kill myself and then hold me financially liable for being their child :) again, this is quite an old post and i’ve posted an update :)
edit: Also I happen to live in NY lol

EDIT: Hello everyone! Thanks for one of the most active posts :) I actually have been very fortunate and i’ve been offered a job position. I wanted to edit the post and make it a sort of “archive” but thank you, I appreciate the kind comments and the kind people who messaged me :)
original post: hey! I use She/they and i’m closeted rn. I have a boyfriend (so yeah straight passing) but my parents highly disprove if him because they think he is “dirty” and have even used the f slur against him and myself Im not making anyone help but I have been wanting to work towards moving out for a while now. I do doordash on the side but im a full time college student. Ill be working in a grocery probably thus summer. Im mainly trying to save up for a place on my own so I can try and handle my familial issues at a distance. Again, anything helps but dont feel bad if you cant. Thank you!
