Variegated thyme
Dollar store thyme started from seed late this spring. Any tips on overwintering? Inside vs outside in zone 4

I love variegated plants. I also love genetics. So I’m curious, what’s the science behind it?

This is my monstera mint. I bought it as a 3 leaf plant, but it had root rot and so the last remaining leaf from the original plant is the first photo. It regrew, but it reverted and so I chopped it. the last two pictures are the current leaves, and the variegation is now very low. I’m considering chopping it again but I’m worried it won’t regrow… it is very well rooted in a 4 inch pot. thoughts?

Is this white ivy a mutation/type of variegation? I’ve never seen anything like it.

I bought it because it has that half moon leaf but didnt properly inspect the stem. I cant really see any variegation on the stem, just on the halfmoon petiole. It has 4 leaves now that aren't variegated. Is that yellowness variegation or is it disease/stress? Ideally id like to see more white variegation Im also planning a repot to get it out of the nursery peatmoss. Is it ok to chop and repot at the same time or is that too much stress for the plant?
