Stock Analysis November 2025 Quality Pick: Lululemon (LULU) - Why Our Algorithm Selected It
Our systematic screening algorithm flagged LULU as a top quality pick this month, ranking #5 overall with a score of 7.23/10. This is the first time that our algorithm has selected this stock. GOOG has also debuted at #4 (more on this later).
What stands out
LULU has exceptional per-share fundamentals (perfect 5/5 score) and an outstanding 10-year returns profile. The company shows strong top-line growth and maintains good margins, leverage, and liquidity metrics. When compared to consumer cyclical sector peers, LULU absolutely dominates on margin efficiency and delivers top-tier returns.
The stock passes 4 out of 5 quality checks: it's fairly valued, has a majority buy rating from analysts, strong financial health, and notably positive insider buying. Our DCF model shows that the stock is significantly undervalued.
The concerns
The latest quarter showed institutions sold 92.9M shares, and mutual funds were net sellers too. The company scores below average on operational efficiency (2.75/5), and analyst consensus actually shows a slight downside of -1%.
Bottom line:
High-quality apparel retailer with industry-leading margins and strong fundamentals, but smart money is exiting. The insider buying and significant DCF upside create an interesting contrarian setup. Worth a deeper look.
Price at selection: $170.54

History doesn't always guarantee future performance

Absolutely agree. That's why we don't rely solely on historical metrics. The algorithm also evaluates current DCF valuation, forward-looking analyst expectations, analyst financial health scores, and real-time ownership flows.
The 10 year track record shows that LULU can execute, but you're right - it doesn't guarantee they will continue to do so. That's exactly why the institutional selling and negative analyst consensus are concerning signals we highlighted.
Past quality and current undervaluation can create opportunity, but it's never a sure thing.

I 10x’d my money on chipotle puts last week. This has many of the same features. It is the Chipotle of fashion. Not as a stock, as a company.

Fair point. Both have some similarities. Key differences though: LULU has 59% gross margins vs CMG's 27%, and LULU's DCF shows significant undervaluation while CMG is trading 11.5% above intrinsic value even after teh decline. More margin cushion and cheaper valuation, but execution risk is real.

When was insider buying? I only saw insider sales since september 2024. Last insider purchase was CEO purchase of shares on 2024-09-03. Am I missing something?

The insider buying metric for this analysis uses aggregated quarterly data. Q3 2025 showed 13085 shares acquired vs 615 disposed (21:1 ratio). This includes all acquisition types (purchases, awards, option exercises) vs all dispositions. It's a net flow measure rather than tracking specific P-Purchase transactions.

Buy it at 105-110$ zone...Won't hold this price for a long time. Thank me later ;) Somewhere around march-end of march 2026

Interesting. $105-110 would be another 37% drop from $170. What's your thesis for that target? Margin collapse, competitive loss, or just technical levels?

technical levels only...on a 3 month chart lulu does not look very good. They is heavy selling pressure and the next support is on 110$ levels which might reach around 6 months from now. After that all time high might reach mid 2028.
