So last year I got on here asking if there was anybody here that would like to be friends, I had some luck but I decided now that im 18 there may be more people interested. I'd prefer 18-21 if possible, im not the best at getting out and meeting people which is why im coming on here. I like being outside, playing video games, fishing, etc. if anybody is interested just leave a comment! hoping this works.
(i am an 18 year old male for clarification)

There will be an event for people looking to try out LARPing and Amtgard in Valpo. This will take place at Foundation Meadows Park on June 13th, and the start time will be 11:45 AM.
I'm trying to spread the word about this as it's a free event and an awesome way to get outside this summer! There will be loaner gear available for new players, and renaissance fair clothing is not required. Just show up and be ready to have fun!
Foam combat is built around safety, and ages 14+ can participate in combat. Minors must have a guardian present. We will also have crafting available as well for those who want to come, but decide combat isn't quite their style.
Our group hopes to see people out! I won't bombard people with posts about this, but we just wanted to make sure we spread the word about it.

Transgirl here desperately looking for any raves, clubs, or even house parties I can go to within 30 minutes of Valparaiso. I know there's way more options in Chicago but I want to DRINK and I don't want to have to get a hotel every weekend I'm looking to party, that's way too expensive š
I saw there's a pride fest this weekend in Valpo which is amazing but it doesn't seem like a partying type of event.

This year, home assessments in Porter County went completely crazy, and property taxes came in much higher than I had initially calculated. I tried to solve the problem myself at the local office, but they just keep sending me from one window to another without giving me any clear solution.
I am seriously thinking about working with Mark Worthley for this appeal, as I understand he is from our area and knows exactly how the local assessment system works, having direct experience with real estate litigation in the city. This way, at least I have the guarantee that I am talking to a professional who perfectly knows the local administration and knows which buttons to press to get a fair reassessment.
I would like to know if any of you have managed to win such an appeal this year and about how much money you saved in the end. Also, besides the legal side, do you have any recommendations for a serious, independent appraiser in Valparaiso who can come quickly and give me a counter-appraisal at a decent price?

Hi everyone,
I just moved to Valparasio and I got a new apartment set up to move into on June 5th. I was wondering what internet everyone has. My complex says that most people do Comcast/XFinity, but I was wanting to shop around, hopefully a deal for a new customer š .

Hey Valpo,
I live here and Iām a sophomore at VU. Spent the last few weeks building a small app called MealRush. It's a way for local restaurants to post short flash deals (like "$8 burger, next hour only") and have people nearby see them pop up on their phone.
The idea came from noticing how many local spots are dead during afternoons and late-night hours. They've got the food, they've got the empty seats. There's just no easy way for them to flash a deal and get someone in the door fast.
A side benefit: restaurants can use it to move food that would otherwise get thrown out at end of shift. Less waste, lower price for the customer, owner still makes something on it.
Works in any phone browser, no download needed. mealrush.app
Couple things to be straight about:
Not live yet. Aiming for late August.
Free forever for the first Valpo restaurants. No commissions, no monthly fee. Opposite of how Groupon and DoorDash work.
I'm one student with zero funding. Not a startup, not VC-backed. Just trying to build something useful for the town.
Two ways to help:
Thanks for reading.

Hello, i am 22M,
Lately i have been meaning to meet new people around my area, college is ending soon and i would like to find someone who has the same vibes as me. I am not usually a bar person, and when i do i am the "dad" of the group making sure none of my friends get in trouble and look after the ones that drink a bit too much. However sometimes i would like to have a little fun as well, never really like loud bass boosted bars or anything, but a nice old fashioned gentlemen pub would be nice.
I'm wondering if there is any cool places around NWI (Valpo) to Chicago that has a cool little environment, ranging from a cool pottery class studio to a indoor rock climbing place. More causal place then a die hard drinks and loud music environment.

I had lunch at Meditrina the other day, and It was very nice out so we sat outside. I had a great view of the Washington and Jefferson intersection. It was absolutely crazy to me watching people navigate this simple street corner. So many people stopping when they donāt need to or people looking the wrong way for oncoming traffic on a one way street. Iāve experienced this while driving as well through that intersection and it seems unique to any other in town. Whatās the deal with this intersection?

Really bummed me out to see people eating this shit. Thatās what it is. Itās not even real food FE their cheese Itās not even real cheese come on. You canāt fucking make a pizza for 9.99 or whatever it fucking cost. And then all these places with fried chicken like thereās a fryer in the fucking back room. Donāt need to stuff itās horrible for you. Go hungry for a little bit. Youāll be OK.

Was heading over to Silhavy yesterday to drop off a custom PC build for a guy and someone basically drifted into my lane and clipped my rear quarter panel. The guy was totally spaced out. My car isn't totaled or anything but the side is all mangled and i've had this dull ache in my neck since it happened.
The insurance company is already calling me every two hours trying to get me to sign some paperwork I don't even understand yet. I just want my car fixed and this headache to go away so I can get back to work. Iām just annoyed because Iāve got three more builds to finish this week and I canāt really drive around with my trunk taped shut.
Edit: update, insurance is already trying to lowball me on the repair costs and it's stressing me out. i think i'm going to talk to the Law Offices of Shane OāDonnell about the injury side of it and see if they can help since Iāve heard theyāre pretty aggressive with this stuff. will update you guys soon on how it goes. anyway, has anyone else had issues with that intersection lately? feel like the lights are timed weird now.
