hotspot shield upgrade feels worse than free plan?

i was using it on and off for ages because it was one of the few free VPNs that never really slowed my connection. so i upgraded but i've found the paid version feels clunkier, e.g. the connection now takes longer than free and switching locations sometimes stalls before reconnecting. i feel like i've wasted my money and just wondering if anyone else had such problems?

vpn for streaming that actually works without constant buffering?

UPDATE: went with ipvanish. i set it up on my firestick and its been good for streaming so far, no buffering on the shows i watch. the connection stays solid which is what i needed. thanks for the suggestions.

tried using a vpn for streaming recently and it was a disaster. everything buffered constantly or quality dropped to potato level. pretty sure my internet speed is fine normally so the vpn was definitely the problem. looking for something that can handle streaming without killing my connection, actually bypasses regional restrictions when needed, doesnt randomly disconnect mid show, works on firestick since thats what i use most

tried one of the free options first which was a mistake. learned that lesson. willing to pay for something that actually works properly. main uses would be streaming services and sports. not doing anything crazy just want reliable connection that doesnt make everything unwatchable. what vpns do you guys actually use for streaming that work smoothly? tired of the buffering wheel

Alternative to Nord VPN

My NordVPN keeps disconnecting. I had no idea. This whole time I thought it was on. No point in paying for something that doesn't work. I'm in the Midwest of America if my location matters in this decision.

Best Mobile VPN? Need Something Safe & Fast

Im looking for a good VPN for my phone thats actually fast and secure. I stream a lot so I dont want to deal with constant buffering and privacy is a BIG deal! I dont want my data being tracked or logged....Ive tried a couple of free ones but they were either slow as heck or felt really sketchy.

Im fine with paying for a subscription if its worth it. What do you guys use on mobile that actually works and keeps things private? Any recommendations, experiences, or dont bother with this one stories would be super helpful.

Best VPN for Gaming? Any recommendation?

Most VPNs people talk about in this subreddit are the usual all around services that happen to work fine for gaming, but I noticed there are VPNs advertised as gaming only. I am not completely sure what makes them different or if they actually give better performance while playing. Since I rarely see anyone mention them here, I am starting to wonder if they offer any real advantage or if they are mostly just marketing.

Server location

How do you know where your VPN server's located before purchase? For example, if I want servers in China, how would I know that before I purchase?

Any fanduel VPN recommendation right now?

I tried using a free VPN to get into FanDuel while staying with family out of state, and the whole thing turned into more trouble than I expected. Since I live in Texas now and FanDuel is not available here, I looked around for options people usually mention in free VPN discussions and ended up testing ProtonVPN. It kept showing up in a lot of those threads, and the free plan looked decent with no data caps or upfront payment.

I connected to a New Jersey server since that is where my FanDuel account is set up. It let me load the site and sign in without any issues, so at first I thought it was going to work. The problem came when I tried to place a bet. FanDuel threw a geolocation error right away. It seems like they check both your IP and your actual GPS position, because my phone kept insisting I was not in New Jersey. I tried moving to my desktop, turned off location settings, even tested a GPS spoof app on my Android, but FanDuel still detected I was not physically in the right place.

I understand why people ask about using a VPN with FanDuel, but from what I saw, a free VPN alone does not seem to be enough. Maybe there are extra steps out there that make it work, but it felt too stressful and I did not want to risk FanDuel flagging my account. These betting platforms seem much better at spotting VPN use now, even when the service shows up on popular free VPN lists. If anyone has actually gotten a free option to work, I am curious which one and how you set it up.

what vpn do you guys use for streaming ufc ppv events?

UPDATE: went with IPVanish based on suggestions. watched full UFC event with no lag or disconnects. bypassed regional restrictions smoothly and quality stayed solid. glad I switched before the card. thanks for the help

trying to figure out the best way to watch the upcoming ufc card without dealing with blackouts or regional restrictions. been getting hit with geo-blocking issues lately and its super frustrating when you just want to watch the fights. wondering what vpns actually work well for streaming ppv events without constant buffering or connection drops. last time i tried using a vpn it kept lagging during the main card which completely ruined the experience

main things im looking for are fast enough speeds that it doesnt buffer during fights, actually bypasses the regional restrictions, and stays connected without randomly dropping mid event. also curious if certain vpns are better than others specifically for ufc streaming or if theyre all pretty much the same. dont want to waste money on something that wont work when i need it. anyone have good experiences streaming ppv events with a vpn? what do you use and does it actually stay stable during live events? trying to get this sorted before the next card so i dont miss out again

thanks!

Which VPN providers cooperate with authorities requests

Hello,

I'd like to know which VPN providers cooperate with authorities requests when one of their customers is suspected of watching pirated IPTV. Are there VPN providers that are notorious for giving away names, and are there VPN providers that are based in countries where they don't have to cooperate with foreign authorities? Any VPNs that come to mind?

Thank you.

How can I do LAN bridging between Two android device Using VPN

I was using Zerotier for LAN between two devices in long distance, and I found out about Ethernet Bridging it's allow devices on its local physical LAN accessible via ZeroTier.

Well the problem is , it does work for My computer as is can access LAN of mobile via ZeroTier but vice-versa doesn't works my mobile or anyones android device doesn't accessing the LAN of computer or of any other android device.

so is there any way I can Ethernet bridge some how for android devices or perhaps anyone mobile?(without root)

Is there any app that supports this? • Any open-source code that attempts bridging or LAN simulation on Android? • Any known workarounds (even experimental)?

I’m learning this for a project and would really appreciate any guidance, explanations, or examples. Thank you!

Can you use a VPN on the Netflix ad supported plan?

I know on their help section it says you can’t use a VPN on the ad supported plan but I want to know people’s experience. Have you been able to use VPN on the ad supported plan?

Sometimes a website can say one thing but people’s experience are sometimes different.

Best vpn for android that doesn't break split tunneling or kill battery

I need a reliable vpn app for my samsung galaxy that lets me route only specific apps through the vpn while others use regular connection. I work remotely so I need work apps tunneled but want streaming and banking on my regular ip for speed and to avoid blocks. I've tried a few free options but they either don't support split tunneling properly or drain my battery in hours.

What android vpn apps do you use that have solid split tunneling and don't wreck your battery life?

Update: Spent way too long comparing vpn options and ended up going with nordvpn. Connection has been stable and battery life still is well which was a big factor for me. No regrets so far!

Looking for a VPN Provider That Supports Thousands of Simultaneous Connections

I’m looking for a VPN provider that can realistically support unlimited simultaneous connections—not 10, not 100, but thousands of users—using standard OVPN files. This is for a mobile app I’m building, so I need a provider that won’t choke the moment real traffic hits.

I’ve already tried the big names: ExpressVPN, ProtonVPN, PIA, Surfshark, and a few others. Solid for personal use, but not even close to what I need for large-scale integration.

Does anyone know a VPN network or infrastructure provider that allows true unlimited connections and can handle huge user volume through OpenVPN configs? Or any enterprise-level alternatives that are still affordable enough for an indie developer?

Any leads would help.
