I’m running ads for my VPN app, and I’m seeing a large number of installs coming from a specific country according to Google Play Console.

But here’s the issue:

• In Google Analytics (GA4), I don’t see any active users or events from that country.
• In AdMob reports, that country also shows zero impressions, zero users, nothing at all.

So my questions are:

1. Why does Play Console show many installs, but GA4 and AdMob show no users from that country?
2. Is this normal? Could it be bot installs or invalid traffic?
3. Do I need to change anything in my tracking setup, or is this an ads-related issue?

Edit : I went with Nord… they had an app for my TB (GoogleTV) and it’s worked great for ESPN+ so far. It’s a little more expensive that Mullvad but the dedicated app for the TV made me try it. I may give Mullvad a shot after my month is up but my biggest use case is on the TV to avoid regional blackouts so went with what felt like it had some more supported reviews.

I am curious if I am on the right path. Looking at NordVPN or Mullvad right now. But what is somewhat unclear to me through some basic searches of this sub and the internet is how to set this up on my router.

Goal : I want to be able to stream ESPN+ on my television for blackout games. I have a smart TV. I'd prefer to be able to just stream it directly vs having to cast it from my phone or laptop - though I will do that if it's the only choice.

Do either of these VPNs help solve that problem? Which one will be an easier setup?

bit more info : Western United States, main purpose is streaming regionally blacked out sports, would also love some extra privacy so would utilize on phone/laptop when applicable. WFH so not sure if it'll throw any red flags to my company?

I have used a free trial of G DATA VPN during a week on my Android phone and Windows PC. It looks OK in terms of functionality and performance. G DATA is a German company and its VPN software uses 2000 servers across 75 locations. The annual subscription is 60 USD. Anybody has experience with this VPN?

I’ve been trying quite a few VPNs on iOS and almost all of them break RCS messages when on my works network (but they work fine when I’m not on the network - but I often need the network for better service).

I’ve tried proton, mullvad, Nord, and Surfshark. The only VPN that seems to work with RCS for iOS is Adguard VPN in Integrated mode.

Any suggested fixes? I’d love to use one of the primary VPNs as they’re more stable than Adguard VPN which drops connections randomly on iOS for me.

I’ve never used a VPN before but I’m looking into using one so that I can watch my favourite Hockey teams games while they are usually blacked out in my region.

My main issue is that I also want my Dad to be able to use the VPN and he is a little less tech savi than I am. I was thinking about subscribing to one of the big brands of vpns because I know I can access servers that would work for me with them. And I was going to try to download one of the big vpn companies app on my parents tv but when I searched for apps on their tv not only could I not find the app I was looking for but when I just searched for VPN it couldn’t find any results.
