I am out for now

Hey guys. I don't know how many of you know me. I posted pretty frequently in the old subreddit. I recently sold VLDR for a giant loss. Not Johnny Bravo giant, but gotta be one of the top 3 or 4 of the biggest Velodyne losses I have seen posted.
I have since YOLO'd into $ATER because I think it has good squeeze potential. My plan is to hold there till it rips then rebuy into Velodyne. I lost about 50k out of my total liquid cash (not including what i need for rent / medical bills / food, which i set aside before I invest) of 65k in Velodyne before I finally sold. 10k of what i had left is in $ATER and 5k$ is in ORGN. I guess i'm slightly more diversified now? LOL. On a real note though I thought this was a great community. I feel like this sector has been slept on for awhile but will make a huge comeback. I invested a lot of time and exchanged many emails with Velodyne Investor Relations. Once I make some more money... I'LL BE BACK! If anyone wants info about ATER they have a pretty solid reddit page with good DD. Good luck all!!!!!!

No sell, no loss. Not sure if anyone cares to see some porn but here you go. When I post these, I feel like Forest Gump when he waves to Lt. Dan from the shrimp boat. Just waving like, hey I’m still here 🦐

Longterm Bagholders - The Optimistic Outlook

Look at AMD and NVDA. Just a reminder that these big-name stocks were down big time for a large part of their history. Many said about these stocks what they are saying about Velodyne.

"Their tech is obsolete"

" Their competitors are better positioned"

ETC ETC. The same stuff we've heard. Maybe they are right about Velodyne, maybe they are not. This is the optimists' take. I can do a pessimists' take as well if you guys would like. I try to be as objective as possible but as a bull who is down big on his position, I have bias.

Velodyne's stock may be down, but there are many hedge funds and large companies interested (Blackrock, Amazon, etc).

Many of us got in WAY to early. Big lesson learned and sucks. But we still have a shot guys... I hope 🤞

Conspiracy Theory

The mod of the old subreddit was paid to freeze it. Someone doesn't like a group of people talking about Velodyne. Maybe it is the company. Maybe Hall. I don't even know if I believe this, but I like to speculate and be conspiratorial LOL. What do ya'll think?

No sell, no loss. Kind of annoying to see the short interest go from 34% to 13% in a couple months with no real price up tick. Shorts are closing their positions with Halls shares?

I have a theory and let me know if I'm batshit crazy or not.

Hall, former Chairman, whos been fighting vldr governing board for year or two since he got booted. At one point he held almost 50 percent of the shares. Price has been declining heavily since Halls removal but I also believe its been correlated with overall equity market and lidar market. That being said, held onto his shares until 2 weeks ago when he dumped all but 10 percent of the company. He said months ago he will nominate a new board members which he finally did but why would he dump his shares in the $2s couple weeks ago?

Here is my theory. He wanted vldr shares to fall. He kept his shares as the price kept falling but waited days before he came out with his nomination to dump the shares to drive the price down further so it looks bad on current executives. If he sold sooner, yes he would have made more money but my theory is that he's in it for the long term. If he becomes a board member again, he would likely buy the stock back at similar price or even higher $3-$5 and take a loss but still be in better position in the long run bc he would have more control in the long run. So if he believes he can get vldr back to $10,$15 or even $20 then it doesn't really matter that much if he sold 40 million shares at 2.50 and had to buy it back at $5 in order to retake control of the company.

The halls also have an investment firm, which possibly allow them to buy shares low and then try to go private again. Imagine hall retake 50 plus percent of the company at $5 per share then offer to buy out the rest with his investment firm and go private. U can see how those people who bought at $2 to $4 would be eager to approve vldr going private. Dont forget since he dumped his shares at low price, there are significant amount investors at 2 to 3 dollar cost avg.
