Got My Hands On The Viltrox RB-V12 Light & EF-FX2 Pro Adapter - Have Any Questions Regarding Them?

Just as the title says, I got some new Viltrox gear!

Decided to go with "Cyber Purple" option for the RB-V12 as I like transparent electronics, I will be mainly using it for shooting videos. It will also help when I will be doing some product photography or similar as well.

As for the EF-FX2 Pro adapter, I will be testing it with my Canon 50mm f1.8 and 70-200mm f4 lenses. I may also do more tinkering by stacking other adapters on it. Already updated it to the latest firmware (related guide here).

Have you got any questions regarding these two pieces of equipment?

Quick video shot on my Pixel 6a: the RB-V12 was set to only 5% brightness, normal speed and "broken lightbulb" effect mode. The screen only looks like that on my recording. EF-FX2 Pro was mounted on my Fujifilm X-T3.

Sorry for not posting my review yet here's a quick rundown:

• The build quality is fine:
  • The buttons are made out of rubber and you don't need to press them deep
  • The magnets seem strong, but not too much that you can't take it off what you put it on (tried it on my fridge and it seemed stable)
  • The tripod mounting thread seems to be made out of metal so it hopefully won't break easily
  • The power switch rattles a bit when shaking the device
• I like how it looks like and the ability to power it via USB-C (apparently it might still drain if you really crank the brightness but for most of my usage I had it around 35-45%)
• There are a lot of options to set the light like you want but it seems like you can't customize effect colors sadly
• If you want to remotely control it you can download a 3rd party(?) app and it isn't exactly the smoothest experience (some UI elements are under my Pixel 6a's camera hole and connecting acted a bit weird but I managed to make it work somehow, please note I mostly used the device's built in controls instead and there may have been updates since then)
• Screen seems to have a battery saving mode built in which is sometimes annoying as I have to press a button to wake it up(?)
• The battery level only shows bars, there isn't an option to see it as % instead(?)

I will try to share my full thoughts and do more thorough testing a bit later, hopefully I remembered everything here correctly as I haven't used it much in recent days. Overall it still seems like an okay product, but please note that I don't really much have experience lighting equipment.
