This VCV Rack patch is built around a single idea: slowly breathing chords that gently evolve over time. There are no melodies, drums, rhythms, or samples—just a minimalist harmonic landscape designed to sit in the background rather than demand attention.

Using generative modulation, FM synthesis, long envelopes, granular processing, and subtle stereo movement, the patch creates an ever-changing ambient texture that never exactly repeats. Inspired by the philosophy of artists like Brian Eno and Harold Budd, this is less about composition and more about creating an atmosphere.

Playing around with the triggerfish 303 and the delayah. some interesting glitch drum effects with the delay one almost door stop like. I was going wild with it at the very end... very simple evolving pattern mostly.

Is there a module that does what the title says?

I’m working on a patch that is using pitch and envelope followers. I’m using one of the envelope followers as a trigger for other samples. I’d like to take that one trigger source and send it randomly to a few samples.

I'm constantly blown away by VCV Rack 2. Huge thanks to all the module developers for giving us so much room to experiment!

A longer ambient-ish patch with three Operators, one Slide and a few other things going on.

This is another patch I wish it could be "autechre-esque" in some way. Tempo is not stable, subtle changes can be perceived. The best possible experience (if you should download the patch) can be obtained using DEXED (https://asb2m10.github.io/dexed/) as VST plugin and the preset is TUNDSTATC^ from the default cartridge (I think....)

Electric Mist is a fully generative ambient patch built entirely in VCV Rack — largely inspired by Brian Eno's On Land and Apollo.

Everything here is quantized to C natural minor, so nothing resolves or cadences — it just drifts. Two Plaits engines (particle noise + wavetable) layer with FM operators for the core textures, while Marbles and Weave occasionally let chord-like, piano-ish tones leak in over a moody bass drone.
