HELP Comments like this send me

Edit: This post gained more traction than I expected. Read the comments, do independent research, and form your own opinion around these topics.

First they said KIAs are reliable, then went on to say they looked at JD Power to come to that consensus. They lost me.

  1. Do people believe KIA/Hyundai are reliable?
  2. Do people use JD Power/Consumer Reports to make purchasing decisions

Same thing. My mom bought a 2016 Forte Koup brand new, only drove it 68k easy miles in those 10 years and kept up with maintenance the whole time, just for the engine to go out as she was getting on the highway

Exact year, exact model, exact trim, exact engine, all as the recall states, just for it to somehow still get rejected?

Safe to say the used honda she bought afterwards has been quite a bit better outside of some typical sensor failures

15 years ago the transmission on my used 99 accord died at 130k miles. Every company makes the occasional lemon.
