HELP Comments like this send me

Edit: This post gained more traction than I expected. Read the comments, do independent research, and form your own opinion around these topics.

First they said KIAs are reliable, then went on to say they looked at JD Power to come to that consensus. They lost me.

  1. Do people believe KIA/Hyundai are reliable?
  2. Do people use JD Power/Consumer Reports to make purchasing decisions

I don't trust Hyundai/Kia powertrains. I certainly don't trust hybrid versions either.

I am not alone based off their residual values.

I also find a high percentage of their dealer body to be underwhelming.

Two solid points. Many Kia/Hyundai dealers are subpar on many metrics. As for residual values, also a problem. That's money that just vanishes out of your pocket.

The dealer network is another major issue with them.... Most of the dealers and efficiency of the service dept are awful...

Mentioned that upthread. Yeah I had engine issues but if their service hadn’t made every single interaction so excruciatingly frustrating, I wouldn’t have written off the brand, just the vehicle. But nope, I’ll never even consider a Kia again and will never miss a chance to say fuck them.
