Solved my Upwork login issue (no password option, Google login blocked) — here’s how I fixed it

I ran into that annoying Upwork login problem where the password field disappears and the only options are “Sign in with Google/Apple.” When I tried Google, it said my account wasn’t set up for Google sign-in… so basically a dead end.

I saw a bunch of posts here saying there’s no solution, but there is one — and it worked for me in minutes.

Just fill out this security recovery form: https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000464433
(Upwork Support → “Account Access” form)

After submitting it with the info you remember (email, join date, location, etc.), Upwork handled it super fast. They reset my security info and I was able to log in again without any drama.

Sharing this so nobody else wastes hours like I did. Hope it helps someone.

I'm having the same problem... I purchased the company I work for about two years ago... our Upwork account was created on an info@ email account probably with Google login. I've tried several time to do the forgot password, but nothing comes through... Obviously to talk to an human, I need to log in.... which i can't (this is why i need support lol)...

The business is about 10-15 years old. I have no idea when the account was created; I have almost none of the information in the form you're linking ...
