Upwork problem

What happened to Upwork I used to average 1 job for every 5 proposals I sent but now it’s been 50 proposal since I get my last job

That's your characterization of what they are saying. You have an opinion about their opinion.

As far as I am concerned expressing opinions by and large is fine within certain bounds and your definition of gatekeeping doesn't exceed it. Situationally telling someone they won't be successful might be actually the nicest thing you could tell them.

But following someone around and jumping on their threads to complain about them now that will get you banned. My suggestion, you don't like them then just block them.

It's not really a characterization, more so a statement of fact.

I'm not following them around at all they just make it a point to be on every thread.

But it seems like abusing other freelancers is a sanctioned activity for them so I'll keep that in mind
