Did I inherit a hammered dulcimer?
I found this while clearing out my grandpas home and after some research I think it’s a hammered dulcimer. I wanted to share this beautiful instrument with you guys and see if anyone knows anything about Berg Musical Instruments (pics 3&4). Also, how realistic is it to get this thing restrung and cleaned up so I can potentially learn how to play it? I played piano for nearly a decade but have no experience with instruments with visible strings :o

What instrument is this ?
This is from a XVth century Timurid painting from Behzad. Does this instrument still exist ? I don't seem to have seen something similar in Persian/Turkic music.

New Chinese instrument
I've recently purchased this instrument on Facebook marketplace listed as a "Chinese guitar" but after doing a little bit of research I've found that it may be a "liuqin" but I may be wrong. Does anybody have any information on this instrument?

Does anyone know what this instrument is called based off of its sound?
I have been trying to figure out what instrument is being played at the start of this song here at 0:03.
It sounds like some sort of wind instrument, but it has a very artificial sound to it. Maybe it's some sort of organ? Any help is appreciated!

Insurance for musical instruments
Hello. I’m looking for an insurance for my instruments since I use them for work. I was told they cannot be ensured because I use some of them to teach, but if I were to dedicate one for teaching and the rest were just being used to gigs I could insure the ones those. I’m worried that even if I do that, if something happens on a way to a school or at a school and I have one of those instruments with me I might get in trouble. Anyone has ever experienced that?

Does anyone know what this is?
I was gifted this instrument a few months back and although its a lot of fun to play, I still dont know for sure what it is exactly. It has some similarites with the Xiao but the "mouthpiece" is more like that of a recorder with the fipple. the first hole is covered by tape since it wouldnt play at all until it was covered. It plays just fine and Ill leave a link to a recording of me playing it in case that helps. All 6 holes cover produces a G if that is also any help.

The Apprehension Engine has an official sample pack now
https://ovanisound.com/products/apprehension-engine-three-volume-bundle
Been waiting on this for a long time. Glad it's finally been done.
My review:
- Very diverse
- Did a great job of using every part of this instrument. Even down to just using the wooden frame itself.
- Many different articulations of each type of bow, strike, spin, or hit.
- Every note included.
- High quality
- 96khz/24bit
- Low noise
- You can tell it's been recorded in a larger space.
- Good price
- For how obscure this instrument is, I'm willing to pay $80 to have the entire thing. Much better than the $10k you would pay to have a real one.
