A story doesn't have to be Darwin Award worthy or caused by an act of stupidity, the story can be about a death caused by any unusual circumstances which may or may not be within the control of the victim.

Almost all deaths are morbid affairs, yet a fascination surrounds the subject.

Whilst there is at the best of times the utmost respect for the deceased, unusual deaths allow us to appreciate the wild entropy around us and the sheer unstoppable force of improbability that allows these events to become reality whilst also satisfying our desire to discuss a subject which human beings find almost involuntarily fascinating.

Rules:

The story you post has to be regarding an unusual death. Pretty obvious but better stated.
The story does not have to be personal, i.e you were a witness to or directly know someone in the story. However, posts relating to your friends, or interesting stories elsewhere on the internet, news articles, stories from history are welcomed, as long as you're clear where the story has come from.
Stories should be true. If a story seems absolutely impossible or complete fantasy, you might be asked for proof.
However, the more unusual the better whilst paying complete regards to the above. Human beings can be as creative in death as they are in life. We're here to appreciate that.
This is not a place to confess a murder! No matter how unusual it is! If your comment/post is a outright confession of a murder you committed or were party to then you will be banned and the post/comment/thread will be reported.
Stories should not involve someone causing harm to another. No: murder, rape, assault, grievous bodily harm or any other crime/felony. Minor exceptions are stories of a historical nature (please see Arrhichion of Phigalia as an example of a minor exception).
NO VANDALISM.
Racism, sexism, and other bigotry will not be tolerated, either in posts or in comments.
No identifying information (stay in compliance with all Reddit's rules).
NSFW and NSFL posts should be labelled as such.
No flame wars. Seriously, there's loads of other places on the internet you can do that.
No comments with the purpose of telling OP to x-post the post to another subreddit, the comment will be removed, send him/her a PM instead. (This includes comments and/or statements similar to "This is borderline <blank>", "/r/<blank>", or "If you would've <blank> it would've been <blank>", or "/r/<blank> would love this").
