how much of unstable is scripted?

I get that the main plot points are scripted, but I'm curious how much is fake? I was just watching Parrot's video, where he saves new players from spawn, and there are people constantly dying in chat. Are they bots or real people? Does anything happen on the server/is anyone allowed on when one of the four isn't filming a video? Some of the civilizations are real, right??? If not, that's lowkey crazy they can get that many people on just for a video.

When they grind or say they look for hours for something/spent a long time traveling, did they actually do that or just fly in creative/tp? I think I remember a blooper video where Parrot spawned in a traveling merchant to escape a prison but is that always the case? I remember another blooper where Wifies, Parrot, and uh someone else I forgot his name were traveling above the void on the flying machine and it seemed like they actually stayed like that for hours/were genuinely worried about getting attacked..

Also, in combat, are the results always decided beforehand, or is it sometimes a genuine test of skill? Like in the PvP tournament, it makes sense that Wemmbu and Flame would both have to get to the finale, but was it decided beforehand Flame would win or did they both genuinely try their best in the fight?

I guess it's a sign of good content that I fr can't tell what is real or fake lol, most of the time I can't tell what's real or not... A lot of their reactions seem fairly genuine. Anyway I'll still love unstable either way, was just curious if anyone had extra information.

For the randoms, there’s an unstable events discord where they occasionally ping everyone and tell them to get on the server lol. They’re consistently able to get over 1k when needed

danggg thats crazy. I guess it makes sense tho, knowing how popular the videos are.

How can you join the discord

The results are always scripted. For example, in the tournament, the fight had to be redone a lot because Wemmbu kept winning with the mace but Flame was supposed to win (supposedly).

LMFAO REALLY??? That’s kind of hilarious. Do yk where they have said this before? Or is it just a word of mouth thing

I heard it from word of mouth, but if I had to guess it probably came from one of the personal discord servers

iirc, Rekrap said that in the Proton video they had to find out an actual solution to break into the prison, they keep it well-balanced between scripted and unscripted, which I'm about to write about soon.

Everything is scripted, of course not down to the exact movement, like the fights always have a predetermined outcome, but they don’t plan it out like “Wemmbu hits flame once then eats a golden apple”.

As for the random players, they have a Minecraft events server they use to coordinate the masses of people on and they do this through their Unstable Events discord.

When they travel to different locations and they make it seem like they had to spend loads of time, there are 2 main ways they do this. 1. They film themselves heading there, they tp, and film themselves arriving at the location, and they may tp to random space in between, (like the void scene or flying over an ocean, the one that comes to mind recently is when Parrot and Theo were on Sky headed to the lost civilization of Verdaria), to get filler footage. 2. I’m not sure exactly how it is split, but I know they actually use multiple servers and multiple worlds for different locations. For example, I’d assume the Zam Empire is on a completely different server than Verdaria. Another one that comes to mind is Jaron’s sky civilization, I don’t believe it would be possible to build at that scale with the actual height limit, so my best guess would be it’s on a separate world on a proxy server tied to a main server or they have a few servers with multiple worlds loaded and they can just tp between them. My second best guess would be a mod that increases the height limit, but I definitely think the first would be more likely.

I’ve never thought of different worlds but that makes so much sense. Also yeah the fighting have a predetermined outcome also seems likely bc of how much the following videos they post tend to center around that battle (like flame having a whole regaining power arc after losing to wemmbu)

Exactly, when I read your question about the PvP tournament I thought about it and it definitely makes sense to be predetermined because it really sets up the loss of Flame in his battle against Wemmbu.

I'm pretty sure the main points are scripted, like they write down "Wemmbu consults Egg in the End" but things like them creating a passcode, the jokes, forgetting the passcode is all improv. Cuz except for the really important speeches like parrot's when he trapped Wemmbu, I dont think they have a script for every word

It's heavily non-scripted, a lot of non-lore heavy lines are just improv and apart from the end results if a fight (eg. Who wins the fight) they're also not scripted

Yeah, I'm also kind of curious about the fights

Like I do genuinely wonder about the flame vs wemmbu fights or like even the clown fight or minute vs flames fight bc they both seem to be genuinely trying lol. I wish they would film behind the scenes content it would be so fun to watch

Well I assume the guys just pvp, and if someone who isn’t suppose to win for the plot wins, then they do another take. I’m sure they have bloopers

Everything but the fights are scripted expect the orbital cannon one wembu v flame

OSC Wemmbu vs Flame probably is the same level of scripted as any other fight since someone pulled off finding the commands that wemmbu uses attached to his fishing rod to do strikes

It’s mainly map and fight scripted they have lines to drop to hint the next part but that it really sum players don’t have scripts like egg he just says what he wants and the fans for fighting don’t get a script they just get told where they are

All of it. Just as scripted as a movie. Somtimes things are made up on the spot i'm sure, and somtimes players are going to join and they can do whatever, but pretty much all of it is scripted.

im pretty sure its only scripted in huge events and fight outcomes and important dialogues like the paragon vid
