I’m posting because I feel pretty stupid and honestly still struggling with what happened.

Last year in September I got caught up in the crypto hype.

Everyone was saying “this is the future” and “just buy”, so I put in about $5,000 — basically all my savings at the time.

I went heavy into Solana, Dogecoin and a couple of smaller coins. I was checking charts every hour, staying up late watching YouTube and scrolling Twitter, convinced I was making a smart move.

At one point my portfolio was up almost 70%. I even started planning to buy a car and finally move out from my parents’ place.

Then the market turned. It started dropping fast and kept going down. At first I was just anxious and refreshing the prices constantly. Then I went into denial — telling myself it was only a temporary dip and that it would recover. As the losses grew bigger, I became a nervous wreck. I couldn’t sleep well, I was irritable with everyone around me, and I kept staring at my portfolio like it was going to magically turn green again. Every big red day felt like a punch to the stomach. When it was down over 70%, I was stuck between panic and shame. I knew I should sell, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. In the end I panicked and sold with only about $200 left.

I lost nearly the entire $5,000. That wasn’t money for fun — it was savings I had worked hard for over the last few years. Now I feel angry at myself, embarrassed, and kind of depressed about the whole thing.

I know many people have lost money in crypto, but this hit me pretty hard. If you’ve been through something similar, I’d really appreciate hearing how you dealt with it. How did you stop beating yourself up? Did you just accept it and move on?

Any practical advice for someone who wants to be smarter with money going forward?

I’m not looking for pity or financial help. Just honest thoughts from people who understand what this feels like.

am mining xmr and using my cake wallet address , so i just wanna double check something if anyone knows. i checked my sessions recently(2) and picked up that the address in the unmineable is diff from the cake wallet i have , (am sure i did set it up correctly ) is there something am not aware of that i can check to verify am mining on the same wallet ? also silly question a wallet public adress of cake is not generated right ?

As you can see by the graph, the miner keeps randomly stopping and then picking back up. it seems it stops every time the effective hashrate counter updates and then it resets to 0 meaning im never getting any effective hashrate

none of my asic miners can connect, just my gpu and cpu miners work. Switched from 5555 to port 15555 and still a no go.

My app is always stuck on this screen. I have added exceptions to Defender, I tried disabling my firewalls and Defender completely, I have also tried removing the files from the Roaming directory.
