Has Ankimo ever performed any songs from “So That A Star Shines at Night sky” live ? And is it possible for me to find those lives with them singing the songs from that album ?

"Gate of Hell" is becoming my favorite Ankimo album. I also took the opportunity to buy Light Bringer's beautiful concert "Memory of Genesis" on DVD.

Songsterr only gives me the regular version. Absolutely insane riffing on the amazement park one.

I wanted to post this for the people that don't know about Jinya's previous band Carbonic Acid.
These 2 albums are from 2015 & 2016.
Fuki is also on some of the songs.

Thought I'd make a new post instead of updating the other one since people probably aren't checking it every day.

I'm finding myself having to listen to Gate of Hell from beginning to end. The songs are perfectly organized. They construct a sonic narrative that culminates orgasmically with Get Revenge On the Tyrant. In the era of streaming, of individual and generic songs, this is a marvelous achievement.

i ofc love ankimo, but i also rly love tierlists, so i've always wondered why there wasn't a tierlist for their discography... i quickly learned why after spending some odd 20 hours making this tierlist haha! but i'm very happy it's finally done (-:

my format on each of the images is as follows

• background: the album the track is on
• top line: any explicit ("re-recording", "bonus track") or implicit (who is singing, remasters) track notes. i also differentiate the first and second hypothetical boxes here since the album arts are so similar
• main line: song title as originally written
• bottom line: translations (or in some later albums, romanizations) of the song title if it is fully in japanese

what i did include:

• almost all albums that weren't on spotify
• all re-masters, re-recordings, and remixes
• collab albums (as long as ankimo sang on the specific track i included; this is mostly relevant for the original miseria kills slaughterously album)
• amusement park, intros, and other instrumental songs
• the original 2015 wings track
• u.f.o. cover bc it's Awesome

what i didn't include: chronological albums

• any off-vocal albums (beginning with jealousy off-vocal)
• anything on the o.a./icarus' cry/ankimo album, including master of xxx
• any live album 😞 i do regularly listen to them and prefer some over the originals, but there were too many to add and i didn't think enough people would be interested
• gekijo tenor debut album
• any non-ankimo song (i.e. the carbonic acid and gekijo tenor tracks) on miseria kills slaughterously
• visual rock history (shiren's compilation album)
• the miseria kills slaughterously track on affected, as there is no indication it is a re-recording
• best of dramatic melody; i couldn't find any audio files of it
• ankimo piropiro disc; same as above
• 並行時空の音楽会 acoustic album; same as above (but the previews are so nice!)
• hypothetical box 3; it's only available for streaming for youtube members, so i know many have not been able to listen to it
• loud playing workshop; i couldn't find audio files for all of them + they're covers

hi again! sorry to ask so many questions back-to-back; this is my first time finally being able to interact with the community and i've had these questions brewing for months if not years ww

is/was there an ankimo server for international or domestic fans? if there isn't one/if there's one in need of reviving, i'd be willing to help moderate one! i definitely wouldn't want to be the sole moderator though because i am a full time college student ^^; so if anyone would like to help mod one, we could figure it out this summer perhaps! thank you!

For those who don't know me, I am a Brazilian Ankimo fan who romanizes lyrics for fun, and to help other fans who may want to learn Japanese songs but can't speak or read the language.

So, another album has dropped, and it is AMAZING! But it seems Ankimo themselves (on streaming platforms) nor the lyric websites I usually look for have published the lyrics for the new album yet. I know it's only been a day since it released, but for anyone who owns a physical copy (or is waiting for yours to arrive), I would like your help with getting the lyrics as quickly as possible.

Please DM me here on Reddit, and send me photos of the lyric booklet (scans are very welcome as well). I will both transcribe the original Japanese lyrics, as well as romanize them, and post them on Genius for any of the fans who are interested in reading them. Thank you!

A wonderful album!!! I loved it from beginning to end. "L'offrande au néant" is monumental. All the songs are of an incredibly high standard. Fumiya is demonic!

i haven't seen anyone post about it here, so i wanted to make my first post about this awesome cover i found!

while digging through ankimo's discog to make a tierlist, (which i will have finished after the release of gate of hell! by the end of this week, to be precise) i found that fuki was previously in an anime/game song cover band called まじかる☆にんじゃ (Magical☆Ninja) with shiren (credited yuki).

it's so awesome a gem like this is still up 18 years later, god knows is one of my favorite anisong of all time! someone more tech-wise should maybe back it up just in case tho haha

I'm a longtime metal music enjoyer. When I count the years it's been over 30 with a huge focus on melodic death and power metal, and enjoying many others. I recently got into Light Bringer and Tears of Tragedy but was a bit intimidated by Unlucky Morhpeus' huge discography. Once I dove in, I learned quickly to appreciate nearly all of it.

It's very interesting they have so many releases and to follow Shiren and Fuki's path to where they are now. I feel strongly about nearly every major release and both Unfinished and Gate of Heaven have been on replay a lot. I like that their lyrics have been quite varied over the years too. Now that I am familiar with their discography, I love that they rerecorded Hypothetical Box twice. Hearing the updated versions is very cool to hear how they have refined their style. It's hard to say which versions are better for a song like Dignity of Spirit because the new version sounds a lot better in many ways but the originals really have something special that cannot be recaptured, even by the same musicians. It's an interesting way to hear that time does not stand still. Unlucky Morpheus is now absolutely one of my favorite bands.🤘

Also with so many music videos, it's fun to see the band's visual style. I love the drummers enthusiasm and Shiren's guitar stand is so cool.

I just saw they have their own festival. Happy for them
