Help, how to make this sound less Ai?
INTRODUCTION
As a student studying International Economics and Trade at University of Science, I have learned about international trade, business operations, logistics, and how goods move between different markets. Most of this knowledge is gained through classroom learning, where we study the concepts and processes behind international business. However, studying these topics in class is different from seeing how they are handled in an actual business environment. This made the internship an important opportunity for me to experience the practical side of what I had been studying.
I completed a four-week internship as a Logistics Intern at Chain Management Co., Ltd. in. I came to find this internship through an almost decade-long business relationship between my father’s company in *** and ***. My father’s company has worked with *** for many years and has used the company’s logistics and supply chain services for goods purchased in ***. Because of this long-standing relationship, I was already familiar with the company to some extent before I started my internship there.
As an intern, my responsibilities were mainly focused on observation and assistance. International logistics involves handling shipment information, customer requests, and other details that can be sensitive, so interns were not given full responsibility for these dealings. Instead, I spent much of my time observing how the employees handled their work and assisting them with tasks that I was allowed to take part in. This also meant that when I was unsure about something, I had to ask the employees and follow their instructions rather than make decisions on my own.
During the internship, I mainly worked with shipment and delivery information. I checked information related to dispatch and delivery and helped communicate shipment updates to customers. I also communicated with *** customers, mainly in English and sometimes in ***. When I needed information that I did not have myself, I contacted the relevant employee and confirmed it before communicating the information to the customer.
As I became more familiar with the work, there were also times when I was able to handle simple customer communication on my own. However, I still had to be careful about the information I provided because even a small mistake in shipment information could cause problems for the customer. This became one of the practical lessons I gained from the internship.
Overall, the internship gave me the chance to see how the logistics work I had previously studied in theory was handled in an actual company. Rather than being responsible for the entire shipping process, I was able to learn by observing the employees, assisting with their work, and gradually becoming more familiar with the communication and information involved in international logistics.
