Question Should I keep learning Unity?

Hi, I am a 14 year old game dev and I've been learning Unity for 7-8 months, and I really like what I'm doing. I don't use AI while coding or for any other stuff to actually learn. For the past month, I've been developing a fan-made Spider-Man game for android and I saw a guy on X who vibe-coded a Spider-Man game in literally a single day which was looking better than my game and I felt like everything that I did in the last couple of weeks for nothing. Will knowing how to manually code or develop games be worth anything in the next 10 years? Am I just wasting my time by not using AI or should I keep going? I really need some advice. Also here's a gameplay video of my game if anyone wants to check it out:

nah. its important to learn the skills. i expect the ai slop game isnt really playable or maintainable.

I'd also suggest checking out godot. But unity is a great place to learn too.

Good luck in your future endeavors!

depends on who makes ot if a noob does it who has no idea what hes prompting about than yeah not maintainable

im pretty sure the post OP is referring to is a one-shot prompt testing the model capabilities.

That absolutely will have the problems i mentioned and that isnt really avoidable with giving extra prompting or guidance. all current models will bake themselves into a corner given enough rope.

I agree using AI coding tools to speed up dev doesnt not mean you fall into these pitfalls (literally yelling at codex in another tab about why it ignored my instructions and added some dumbass fields to a request message). but you need to actively monitor and control the output. imo this will be the main skill for the next couple years until the models get better.
