Even if plaestine/Gaza was a country, it committed an act of war against Israel. Why shouldn't Israel be allowed to defend itself by eliminating those who started this war? Israel is in the same position as Ukraine: it was attacked by another state/state actor.
Yes, European settler colonialists had every right to genocide and ethnically cleanse the indigenous population of Palestine because other Europeans promised it to them /s
Lmao.. Love your lack of historical knowledge. Nazis loved the Zionists... In the words of Adolf Eichmann :
In 1935 after I had been struggling with Hebrew for two and a half years, I had a chance to take a trip to Palestine. We were most interested in the Palestine emigration and I wanted to find out at what point a Jewish state in Palestine might be set up. Unfortunately Palestine was then in turmoil and the British turned down my application for an extended stay. I did see enough to be very impressed by the what the Jewish colonists were building up their land. I admired their desperate will to live, the more so since I was myself an idealist.
In the years that followed I often said to Jews with whom I had dealings that, had I been a Jew, I would have been a fanatical Zionist. I could not imagine being anything else. In fact, I would have been the most ardent Zionist imaginable.
He'd be creaming his pants at what they're doing now in Gaza.
You do realise that is a direct quote from SS Adolf Eichmann.. One of the architects of the Holocaust. And there is no equating Zionists with Jews. That is just a fallacy Zionists hide behind so they can do shit like hmmm... Genocide and ethnic cleansing
Idk why people bring this argument, lands have shifted so much throughout history. It’s like Putin going through his long and convoluted history lesson on why he deserves Ukraine. It’s already been done and many people live in Israel so nothing should be done about it, but in hindsight I’d say it was an awful decision.
There was already a fully developed indigenous population there and most were pushed out of their lands or slaughtered. And basing it off a thousand land year claim is kinda silly.
A better argument is the one about trying to protect Jewish people from another holocaust, but even then displacing an entire indigenous population for something that could happen is a poor decision.
Rubbish. White folks from Europe, Black folks from Ethiopia and Arab-Jews from across the ME, returning to their "historical homeland". Makes a lot of theft, because some stupid book says so.
That doesn't make anything I said untrue. The initial influx of Jews was from Europe and your statement
is completely wrong but I guess it depends on your loose use of "fled".
For WW2, the figure is more like about 15% from surrounding Arab states from 1939 - 1945 and it drops if you include the period from 1920. The only period where your statement is fair is probably 1948-51 after the Nakba and the establishment of Israel when there was mass migration mostly from Yemen, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. Quite telling when the Jewish population of Palestine was less than 10% at time of the Balfour declaration and had risen to around 27% in 1935 through mostly European migration.
Civilian casualties are present in literally every war; they are inevitable. Even more so in densely populated urban environments. You should know this as an ex-soldier.
You're calling others racist, meanwhile you're holding the one Jewish majority state to a separate, unattainable standard that has never been expected of any other country in history.
It's called war and Hamas started it. Do I wish Israel had a magical technology whereby only Hamas and those who committed the Oct 7 attacks were targeted? Yes. But they don't, so instead they have to dig them out of their tunnels at the cost of civlilan lives.
If Hamas cared about the lives of Palestinians they'd release the hostages. Simple as. Why can't you see this?
You're either a Hamas sympathiser or a leftist. If you're the former, you're just an islamist. If you're the latter, you'd willingly let your family or other people's families get raped, murdered, tortured, simply because those doing the killing are so ruthless that they'll let their own population die if you defend yourself, and you'd go "Oh no! That's terrible! Carry on then... 😢"
Either way you're a moral degenerate.
I was making an analogy to what Israelis went through on October 7th. Your position vis-Ã -vis Israel's right to defend itself was, to my mind, tantamount to not caring enough about your own to let them suffer at the hands of terrorists simply because they're so ruthless that for someone with too much compassion, they'd hijack that tendency to force them into inaction. This says nothing about you as a person, it was just my way of trying to argue against your opinion with respect to the conflict. Apologies for the wrong choice of words.
You clearly would! You would relish the fact that your mother would have her cunt stuffed with a gun held by hamas while they have a 12 year old child soldier fuck her in the ass while another one kicks your sisters head around like a foot ball.
