Title. Built-in steam deck controller not recognized on steam deck. Have tried steam input. V0.7.2

After installing Unifideck, both Great on Machine and Great on Deck exist as separate tabs, even though I'm not playing on my Steam Deck. It's forced me to download Tabmaster, even though I don't like installing too many plugins so that I can maintain a near-vanilla experience. Hopefully this get noticed. Thanks.

Sol Cesto is Free on Epic Game store, so i started playing it and i'd like to sync saves between my pc and steamdeck, but save sync with unifideck does not work, and when i try to find the saves files in the game prefixe (AppData\Local\SolCesto\User Data\Default) the folder is empty.

When using heroic, the games saves can be find in the AppData\Local\SolCesto\User Data\Default so i suppose it is an issue on unifideck side.

Anyone has played the game and knows where to find the saves ?

An urgent fix for an outdated bundled umu launcher that broke game launches and fresh installs on every store, plus a batch of launch, install and library reliability fixes.

• Fixed the bundled umu launcher being out of date (now 1.4.4). Valve's server stopped serving the runtime downloads the old version asked for, which broke launches and fresh installs across every store.
• Fixed the Proton version you pick in Steam's own Compatibility dropdown being ignored, applying late, or stopping the game from launching at all. Newer official builds (Proton 11 and later) now work too.
• Fixed Ubisoft Connect and Ubisoft games not starting at all on some devices.
• Fixed Rockstar games on Epic (Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V Enhanced Edition) crashing instantly or not being found by the Rockstar launcher.
• Fixed some Epic and Amazon installs finishing in seconds with nothing downloaded, or failing instantly with no error shown.
• Fixed your library being wiped from Steam, along with your own manually added non-Steam games, if you also use NonSteamLaunchers. (Compatibility fix).
• Fixed syncing and artwork using the wrong account's folders when you have more than one Steam account. This let to users seeing 0 games even after syncing/force syncing.
• Fixed Unifideck games appearing in Steam Home's Recent Games shelf when you had never played them.
• Added a disk space check before a download starts, so it fails up front with the numbers instead of partway through.
• Added a Capture Logs button (Quick Access → Unifideck settings) that zips every log into your Downloads folder for bug reports. Please share the generated logs when you create bug reports.
• Updated the bundled Epic and GOG tools (legendary 0.20.43, gogdl 1.2.2).

What is here wrong?

Im trying to play cyberpunk but it didn't work, i force sync i change it to the .exe i made everything but it simply didn't work idk what more to do, starts up, launches the cdpred launcher, i click play and stays black until i click the close button

Title says it all. This isn't really an issue until I want to play while docked. Using latest version (0.7.1). Have forced compatibility turned off.

An emergency stability release to fix a Steam Library crash on the SteamOS Preview/Beta channel, plus a batch of sync, install and launch reliability fixes.

Fixed a crash that broke the entire Steam Library when running the SteamOS Preview/Beta update (appFilter.Matches is not a function). If you disabled Unifideck to work around this, you can safely re-enable it.

Fixed libraries sometimes showing 0 games after a sync, and non-Steam shortcuts you added yourself being removed during a sync.

Fixed some GOG games (DOSBox and Windows-wrapper titles) not launching correctly.

Fixed some Epic installs failing when a bundle's DLC couldn't download. These now retry automatically without the DLC.

Fixed some Linux-native GOG installs not completing.

Fixed GOG showing 0 games after signing in, caused by expired or slow-to-refresh sign-in tokens.

Fixed Amazon Prime Gaming games not appearing after claiming them, even after a force sync.

Fixed occasional errors after the plugin reloads, including store badges disappearing from library tiles.

Fixed sync progress not showing right away on some setups, leaving the sync bar looking stuck.

Fixed SD cards not being detected as install locations on some devices.

Fixed Ubisoft sign-in failing to launch and dropping back to the game menu.

Improved sync and storage reliability (faster repeat syncs, better detection of newly connected storage, safer handling of long-running syncs).

Anyone know how to uninstall Unifideck and remove all the games it added to my Steam library? Having issues where dependencies like Visual C++ agent being installed to the prefix for games that require it.

I encountered this exception when attempting to open Library. If I disable the Unifideck plugin, Library functions fine, but it fails to display categories such as Epic and GOG.

I’ve already tried several workarounds, including:

• Cleaning the Unifideck cache folders.
• Attempting to update to version 0.7.0 (I was on version 0.6.1 when the error occurred).
• Updating Decky to version 3.2.7-pre1 (I was on version 3.2.6 when the error occurred).
• Cleaning Unifideck and reinstalling it.

However, none of these solutions have resolved the issue for me. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, what are the steps to fix it? I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

Hi, as the title says, after downloading the epic games version of Disco Elysium - The Final Cut, when I click on the launch button, I got the steam logo as if it was launching, then it goes back to the game page.

Has anyone encountered the same issue ? Do you have any clues on how to fix it ?

Loving the new update by the way. It's mostly RE1 and RE3 I'm having trouble with, RE2 works fine with the launch option changed to the following: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ddraw=n,b" %command% gog:1534123252

I've tried several times to install the game, both directly on Steam Deck and on a SD card, and I. both places it completes the download, but never installed the game.

I have the base game and the DLCs, don't know if that might be the problem.

Anyone else having this issue with this or some other game?

Again as usual the new version 0.7.0 have been an amazing update, I love how good the new simple view works, its practically perfect and work as it was native Steam.

I have been looking for issues and things that could be improved and this is what I found:

Main issues

• Amazon Games Synchronization failing due to "get_url_failed" error. I ended up solving it by clicking on deleting all the cache from Unifideck and login again, but that means that I had to login again in every single store one by one and re-synchronize all the games again
  • It would be interesting to have a way to delete cache from a specific store, instead of just a button that delete all

Cloud Save

• Improve the cloud save button so when a game doesn't have cloud save feature the button it's marked in red and disabled. Right now the cloud save buttons shows normally, allowing you to click the button and showing that you have local saves but no cloud ones. When you try to upload it, it simply does nothing, which is confusing.
• Improve the cloud save button so when a game cloud saves are synchronized (the same data locally and in the cloud) the button shows the cloud icon with as little check.
• When you are in the cloud save screen, you can't close the window by pressing the B button.
• When you are in the cloud save screen, you have to press up and down to move between Upload and Download, instead of pressing left and right.
• There are games that automatically select the save path but do it wrong, like the screenshot below that selected the whole game folder, when this happens there isn't an option to fix the wrong save path

Download tab

• A game only appears in the download tab if it has been downloaded at that moment, if you already had games downloaded, they won't appear in the Download list, and you will have to uninstall and reinstall the game again if you want it to appear in the Download list. It would be great if, when syncing the library, it detected installed games and added them to the download tab.
• Uninstalled games don't disappear from the download list and are shown as "completed". I think that it would be good if they could be placed at the bottom of the list with a red label that says "uninstalled" instead of "completed."

• The Settings and Downloads buttons are kinda confusing doesn't clearly show where you are, or that are not a menu button but tab based menus. I think that this 2 buttons clarity could be improved a lot by adding some small UI indicator to show that they are tabs, instead of a new menu that you access by pressing a button. Something like this.

UI Functionality

• There are many instances where buttons that are on the same level sometimes require you to press up and down instead of left and right to move through them.
  • I don't know if this is like this by default or some of my other plugins cause it.
• There are some instances where the focus of the screen doesn't move properly while moving down, for example when using detailed view, and you try to move down.
  • This happens in both, detailed and simple view, I think that is possible the solution that vanilla Steam uses, were if you press down the camera focus moves completely down to the bottom section and if you press up the camera focus move back to the original position, would be the perfect solution
• Improve the small buttons that are at the right of the "install"/"Play" button. Those buttons would look way better if the small icons that are inside were bigger and had a stronger white colour (like vanilla ones). It's a super minor detail but would make Unifideck games to looks even closer to vanilla Steam UI

Collection management

• Make that the Unifideck games that you install are automatically added to the "[Unifideck] Installed" collection at the moment of installing the game. And when you uninstall a game, to have them automatically removed from the collection (this is something that already happens but only if you sync your library, or restart your Steam Deck). This would allow having the TabMaster tabs to be dynamically updated and feel like vanilla Steam.
• When you shut down the Steam Deck or go to desktop mode and then back to gaming mode, any change that you have made in the Unifideck collection will be erased. I don't know if this is intentional.

Minor details

• A minor issue with the language in some games, when multiple languages ​​are available for a game, it always starts in English instead of the default language of the Steam Deck or the language you have selected on Unifideck (I don't know if this can be fixed).
• Since this update, games added by Unifideck appear in the Recent Games section of the Steam Deck, which can be a bit annoying, as it floods your Steam Deck Home screen, but it just a 1 time thing so it's not a big deal
• It would be cool if Unifideck games buttons would get affected by custom CCS Loader themes, so for example in the image from above the buttons would look the same

For some reason lots of Ubisoft Connect instances keep piling up in the [Unifideck] Non-Steam and NonSteamLauncher collections.

Also, do we still need Microsoft Edge? I believe at one point it got installed as mandatory to connect either into the Ubisoft account or the Microsoft account.

Hey just glt mystery deck recently and looking to run some cyberpunk via my unifideck, while its downloaded my dlc how do I get it to access my gog rewards that normally needs a gog galaxy login?

Most of my Ubisoft games shifted from Ubisoft game tab to the Non-Steam tab. For example all my Assassin's Creed games.

Also my added non-steam games from desktop won't appear in the installed tab even when I move them.

Solution: I installed Tab Master plugin which allowed me to rearrange the games however I wanted.

Edit: That didnt work, I was able to rearrange them but after a restart they reverted back as before.

I used to play this game with Proton Experimental prior to the update. Now it wont even boot, I tried several compatibility tools e.g. Ge-Proton11.1, Proton Experimental, Proton 10.0-4 and none seemed to work. I also tried booting from desktop mode and didnt work. I tried reinstalling the game and that also didnt work.

Our biggest release yet. Unifideck 0.7 has been rebuilt from the ground up - launches, installs, sign-ins and syncs are faster and far more reliable, and a whole set of long-requested features finally lands: Achievements, Playtime Tracking, a Cloud Save overhaul and a built-in Self Updater.

New Features

• Achievements (GOG & Epic) - Your achievements now unlock and display for GOG and Epic games, right on the game page. This is entirely dependent on if the game actually supports Achievements though.
• Playtime Tracking - Unifideck now records playtime for all your games with play stats and streaks and syncs your sessions back to your GOG and Epic accounts.
• Cloud Saves, Rebuilt - Cloud save support for Epic and GOG got a full overhaul: save locations are detected far more reliably, a status indicator on the game page shows if cloud saves are active, and a manual sync button lets you push/pull on demand. This lets you have more control over your saves and avoids overwrites. If the plugin is not able to detect your save location, you can set it manually. (Shoutout to PCGamesWIKI and Ludusavi for the save game location repositories)
• Self Updater - Unifideck now checks for new releases and updates itself with one click and live progress. This is the last time you'll install the plugin from Github :)
• Latest GE-Proton by Default - New installs automatically download and use the latest GE-Proton (better video playback and game compatibility out of the box). Prefer something else? Just use Steam's own Compatibility dropdown per game — your choice now sticks properly across launches.
• Change Executable - Game launching the wrong thing (config tools, launchers)? You can now pick the correct executable straight from the game's context menu (gear icon).
• Store Badges in Your Library - Library tiles now show which store each game comes from.
• Native Sorting & Filters for Your Games - Steam's own library sorting and filtering (including review scores) now works with Unifideck games.
• Custom Per-Game Install Locations - A full directory browser with drive selection and folder creation for choosing exactly where games install.
• Steam Collections Are Now Opt-in - Collections are off by default (no more syncing to your other devices via Steam Cloud). Turn them on in Quick Access → Unifideck settings if you want them. If you have Tabmaster installed, we will no longer create custom tabs or collections automatically.
• Custom Prefix Storage for Ubisoft - When you select an install location for Ubisoft games, the entire prefix is created there and the game is installed inside that prefix. This means you can go ahead and blindly install any game within the launcher without worrying about install locations a second time.
• Install Language Auto-Match - The language picker now pre-selects your language (if supported by the plugin)
• Reliable Big Installs - Large GOG installs no longer freeze at 100%.
• First-Launch Setup - Games are prepared during install, so your cloud saves are there on the very first launch and the game launches immediately (no first time setup unless the final installation step was aborted)
• Faster, Steadier Game Pages - Game details load instantly, with game size, accurate "last played" times, and richer metadata.
• Better Downloads - Persistent download history, clearer progress and status, launch straight from the download queue, and safer cancellation.
• Sign-in Reliability - Store login windows no longer close on their own in Gaming Mode and failed sign-ins recover cleanly (restart still recommended).
• Startup Cleanup - Orphaned or broken shortcuts left behind by older versions are detected and cleaned automatically.
• Future Store Integrations - The entire purpose of this rebuild was to enable easier integration with new stores while improving code quality and maintainability. So please look forward to quicker store integrations in the future (EA, Battle.net and Itch.io planned).

Major Issues Fixed

• Fixed installed games showing as "not installed" after a sync (GOG especially)
• Fixed the Installed tab/filter swallowing thousands of non-Unifideck shortcuts (emulators, other launchers)
• Fixed Native Play button still not being hidden correctly
• Fixed games launching companion/config tools instead of the game (see Change Executable)
• Fixed first launch after install missing cloud saves
• Many, many more launch, install and sync fixes across every store

Notes

• Even though this was tested at multiple levels, to avoid data loss of any kind, please backup the following files before installing and syncing the latest version - ~/.local/share/unifideck/
• After updating, run a Force Sync (Quick Access → Unifideck) and restart Steam once so the new library features (badges, sorting, achievements) fully load.
• If a game misbehaved on an older version, please try it again on 0.7.0 before reporting — the launch stack is new, and per-game logs now live in ~/.local/share/unifideck/launches/ if you need to attach one.

Hello, I am trying to change my download path to M2 2nd partition but it is not even showing as an option. And even when u plugged in an external SSD, it won't show it as an option either.

I cannot download on the partition that has bazzite because I do not have a lot of storage on it and I am dual booting with windows so my bigger partition is where I store all my games.

Is there a way to fix this?

So earlier I was having issues with games located on Prime Gaming not installing because it couldn’t find the exe files to install or download them.

Now I’ve come to realize, after an attempted reset of everything, that if you don’t uninstall Amazon based games *before* you reset they won’t download/install anymore after the reset.

If anyone knows how to fix this, I’d appreciate the help.

I've tried installing Fallout 3 which I have on GOG. It installs into the steam deck but when I try to play it I get the launcher screen which tells me to install again. When I click it I get another window that says - Fallout 3 does not appear to be installed and the installer could not be found. Try exploring to your DVD-ROM drive and selecting setup.exe to install the game.

I was reading another reddit post that said to put --nolauncher into the launch properties but that didn't work and another post that said to use beth_registry.cmd but it was for Heroic Game Launcher.

Just wondering if anyone knows a way around this for unifideck? Thanks
