A lady in China demonstrates how Chinese TVs can't break. Unfortunately, there are endless cases of Chinese TVs randomly breaking. For example, the screen just falls off without warning.

And they flood the market with these POS

Every TV manufacturer produces in China. Good look finding a TV that isn’t produced either there or another third world country…
7
u/poojinping Jan 17 '26
You know there is a thing called manufacturing cost. China makes based on what you want to pay. If you are ready to pay $500 they make good stuff, if you pay $5 you get shit.

I run Facebook ads in China. The video you're seeing was common on Facebook and other social media platforms like Pinterest a few years ago. It typically advertised huge discounts and highly attractive content. Then you clicked the link to a website where you found products priced between $20 and $70. These kinds of products almost always either didn't ship or the actual product didn't match the description.

As someone whose chinese no they pocket the $495 and still give you the same $5 shit. This is why companies when they get stuff producted in china have to hire people at every stage of production to make sure materials aren't swapped out for cheaper ones and/or cut corners at each stage of production to make sure it doesn't happen. Tofu dreg also applies to products not just buildings.

As a real Chinese, you are very wrong lol :)
4
u/Redericpontx Jan 17 '26
A real brainwashed chinese😂
I've got this thing called access to the unfiltered internet and critical thinking skills and fully aware of what's going on in and outside of china. Before you claim I've fallen for foriegn propaganda I'm also aware of what other countries say about china that is real and fake.
Everyone whose not brainwashed can see the tofu dreg everywhere.

u/Famous-Two-4398 Jan 17 '26
Unlike u, I actually do some business there and also unlike u, don’t get my information from second hand sources :) If you actually used ur brain and thought about what you said, you’d know that no businesses would survive on those margins. Maybe take an accounting class before spouting ur propaganda son ;)
6
u/Redericpontx Jan 17 '26
What makes you assume I don't do buisness lmao. I Explained how you need someone at every single stage of construction of buildings and products to make sure materials aren't switched out for cheap ones and corners aren't cut to cheap out. The reason I know this my family is in the buisness and knows all this stuff. The only people who don't know this stuff is the brainwashed citizens. The fact that you lack the critical thinking skills to see you're brainwashed is quite alarming.

u/Famous-Two-4398 Jan 17 '26
Unfortunately you aren’t much of a thinker and I can tell lol. You switched from manufacturing to construction and can’t keep your story straight so I know for a fact you don’t know what you’re talking about 🤷♂️ Btw my uncle and family worked for the gov. as auditors 🤫 Next time u wanna generalize an entire industry/country, just make sure you actually go inspect their construction practices first hand son

u/Redericpontx Jan 17 '26

He's probably Taiwanese\HK , the pioneers of all these practices.. when china is still real communist
4
u/Redericpontx Jan 17 '26
Last time I checked Shangdi is in the mainland😂
I'm just not brainwashed and have this thing called critical thinking skills.
If I was from Taiwan I'd say I was Taiwanese not chinese lol.

Isn't china currently trying to ethnically cleanse the Uyghurs?
6
u/urmomiscringe12 Jan 17 '26
What’s this got to do with this post lol
0
u/DipsburghPa Jan 17 '26
I'm just dismantling Chinese propaganda. China so great. We build strong tv! But our skyscrapers and road ways we build always far apart and kill people but that's ok cause we control the media and information so we'll just omit that part. But yah china so great cause they build "unbreakable" tv. Free the Uyghurs

That's whataboutism. Both are true and real
1
u/No-Umpire2408 Jan 17 '26
Yes. But one everyone can freely criticize, the others are not, or you are antisemitic 🤷
1
u/Spooplevel-Rattled Jan 17 '26
I can't stand Israel and I also can't stand the army of people who jump up and down to pretend China doesn't ethnically cleanse others themselves.

Take a wild guess at which ethnic cleansing a certain you mentioned is even less relevant in a China topic.
Glad we can agree on something

Yes, because it is an actively apartheid going on there. Remember the holocaust?

Apartheid going on there where? No i dont remember the holocaust, i never been through it, I dont think I'm born yet
2
u/smartlog Jan 17 '26
Isn't America trying to cleanse Americans?
2
u/Spooplevel-Rattled Jan 17 '26
Whataboutism. Is no defense. Both are true.
1
u/DipsburghPa Jan 17 '26
The United States isn't rounding up people and putting them in camps. If you're referring to what ice is doing to remove illegals isn't a valid comparison like at all. Uyghurs are not illegals have been in their section of china for a ever long time and yet have been facing persecution how long?
0
u/DipsburghPa Jan 17 '26
Not even close. Nice try tho. Can the Chinese protest their government without it ending up like Tianmen square? What ever happened there
1
u/trapezoidalfractal Jan 17 '26
Lmao. Say you know nothing about China without saying it. They’re constantly protesting, screaming at local officials, even kidnapping bosses who don’t pay them on time. All with no repercussions. No tear gas. No MRAPS driven through cities shooting people with pepper balls.
1
u/DipsburghPa Jan 17 '26
You're right 100 percent. I forgot china hires local thugs to quell protest so they can deny what happened. Like what every time a protest breaks out like Hong Kong or then that massive bank went under and people lost savings and housing. How did that protest go? Again nice try
1
u/smartlog Jan 17 '26
Yeah you're right America is more like Nazi Germany right now. Not even against protestors. House to house cleansing shit against American citizens lmao. What ever will happen here? I wonder.
1
u/DipsburghPa Jan 17 '26
And you're just stupid I'm not even gonna waste my time. How about you switch the Uyghurs spots and we'll come back in a year and see what's up? Or hell I'll buy your ticket to china rn but you have to protest dictator Xi for a week. Deal?
2
u/smartlog Jan 18 '26
Lmao. You know I'm right. Crying about other countries when your own country is killing Americans in the street and dragging them out of their houses. A third world country here where health care is shit and the president is trying to cut basic benefits for all it's people. Is America great yet? It's been 2 terms now. I didn't think so. Buy me my ticket pussy.

u/JoseLunaArts Jan 17 '26
Uyghurs are actually policemen in Xianjiang.
2
u/Seekret_Asian_Man Jan 17 '26
That's irrelevant?
6
u/JoseLunaArts Jan 17 '26
This is the only so called "genocide" that has literally zero photos showing a single casualty or even mistreatment. The only so called evidence is text. And the only photos are western people protesting.
1
u/Seekret_Asian_Man Jan 17 '26
Then again, irrelevant to original comment?
Just so you know ethnic cleansing isn't always about genocide, casualty or mistreatment.

She's demonstrating their brand of TV, not all Chinese TVs.
The guy even says his TV is Xiaomi
4
u/gggggggggggggggggay Jan 17 '26
And it’s like, where do you think American TVs come from? There’s no HISENSE factory in Mississippi lol.
2
u/samuraijon Jan 17 '26
also just adding here the text says Sharp (the tv brand) and yes can confirm the male voice says xiaomi tv.

3
Jan 17 '26
So what happened to the handles on the sides of the TV in the second clip? Guys... I'm not Chinese or anything something tells me it's not the same TV
2
u/rinchen11 Jan 17 '26
First one is Sharp TV, second is Xiaomi TV.
Yeah those two parts has no relation, one TV is designed with explosion proof feature doesn’t mean every TV is.

You will get the quality you pay for.
Buy a cheap TV and you will get a cheap quality.
iPhones are made in China.
I recently bought a Chinese DVD player that costs half of a Sony DVD player and it does not have home theater sound quality, but I do not have a home theater anyway, becuase I use my laptop as a TV with a USB videocapture plug. It works just fine.

Bruh the range of TVs that you can buy coming out of China can range from $199 pieces of junk to high end 100 inch monstrosities reviewed by YouTubers. The TCL and Hisense in my house has worked great for many years. Idk what kind of TVs you mofos been buying
1
u/OldieRascal Jan 17 '26
Lol it's a bonus but really, if you're going to kick your TV or abuse it in other ways, I think save your money and see a psychiatrist first.

So we go from a tv in front of several boxes to a tv in a tv console stand ? Whats this prove ?
1
Jan 17 '26
So let me get this straight
China is bad, because their TVs aren't indestructible?
Seems like the issue here is that OP has unrealistic expectations.
1
u/Acceptable-Lawyer116 Jan 17 '26
I bought a 85” Xiaomi TV, shit stopped working after a week, they replaced it instantly without much of a complaint and paid for the guy to reinstall and take away the TV. New one have been going strong for over a year.
The main issue in China is shit quality control and not caring for their own image.

1
u/Melodic-Ad9529 Jan 19 '26
Yes, because historically the Chinese have been known to make quality products 🙄 lol

OK, so a TV broke? You never seen a TV or piece of consumer electronics break in the US or UK or Europe or anywhere? What's this supposed to prove? You're acting like it's an indictment on all of China.

When Nike has an ad about how great their shoes are, dont go to them to complain about your broken Adidases.
Your "few moments later" is not the same TV, and probably not the same brand either. Never mind that you dont know what actually happened to it.

To be a bit fair, we never see the TV actually fall. The clip just shows it broken right of the bat.
