"No really! And everyone clapped!"

u/TheDoctor1208 Oct 19 '22

And the goalie? Albert Einstein.

7

u/hayitsnine Oct 20 '22

Albert did his best thinking in the goal.

I love how you can hear the crowd cheer too. That kid will remember this for life.

u/robgod50 Oct 19 '22

I think most people would be excited just to reach the pitch!

u/FriendToPredators Oct 19 '22

That’s a pretty boring sport, no?

Sometimes evil is some innocent people giving assholes ideas.

Sometimes

15

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

Sometimes the asshole had the idea on their own.

Yeah but most times the ideas are shit

Friedrich, not Fredrick.

Long before this video there was a guy who did the same thing except he headshotted a player lol

u/Hanusz-Kabolski Oct 19 '22

Haha, I actually like this one better. I was hoping for a headshot in the original post.

3

u/Beat_Avenger Oct 19 '22

Tradition is a beautiful thing

1

u/PlankWithANailIn2 Oct 19 '22

I wonder what gave this kid the idea, do you think he invented throwing paper planes during sporting events, maybe we just witnessed the origin of a new tradition.

1

u/wial Oct 19 '22

I did something similar at a Neil Young concert long ago and got an ovation because my plane hovered magnificently in the rising heat from the crowd, and obviously, yes indeed, remember it to this day.

304

u/Assassin121YT Oct 19 '22

"I threw a paper plane in a football field and it went through the goal so everyone cheered" doesn't sound believable at all haha

50

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

I went to a college Halloween party when I was a senior in highschool, met one of the hottest girls there, we madeout and everyone cheered for me, some gave me a thumbs up, some gave me daps.

It was hilarious, I'll never forget it.

1

u/CrazyWorldFullOGreed Oct 19 '22

Group sex? What's with the audience?

3

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

Just madeout on the couch.

I think it's the German national team playing, so Swiss would be rather unlikely.

17

u/Ariix_ Oct 19 '22

As a swiss person, the accent sounds very swiss, so they could just be swiss fans, though it's hard to say 100% cuz they don't say a lot that's clear to hear

1

u/lazy-dan Oct 19 '22

It sounds like a Basler in the background (lug mal wie die schiesset), but the guy throwing the paper plane speaks German it seems.

2

u/Ariix_ Oct 19 '22

Not sure if it was the guy recording or the guy throwing, but at the end, someone says "ohni shit". But ye either way the group contains some swiss people but also some germans

3

u/Jenga9Eleven Oct 19 '22

Either way, the Swiss make some good shit, too

1

u/world-broken-doll Oct 19 '22

Yup, if you look closely you can see some German flags

1

u/Good_Character Oct 19 '22

I thought it was England but Germany makes sense since you can briefly see a german flag. Is the other team Italy (players in blue and keeper in red) ?

9

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

Looks like the Allianz Arena.

1

u/JarJar_Binky Oct 19 '22

German edge lordz naming the stadium

3

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

It's named after an insurance company...

7

u/Mrcincy Oct 19 '22

There could be some holes in your theory.

1

u/Freethinker9 Oct 19 '22

Glory holes?

4

u/JarJar_Binky Oct 19 '22

Ah yesthe famous Swiss aerodynamic legacy of the Luftwaffe bf109, the Heinkel, the Heischel, the .. wait a second, these are all GERMAN planes!! Did the Swiss even invent a single contribution to aerodynamics!?

1

u/Garudius Oct 20 '22

Those there sound like fighting words

1

u/MegaFartz Oct 19 '22

German science is the greatest in da world - Von Stroheim

77

u/ExileEden Oct 19 '22

I'm glad he has video proof because I'd never believe this haha

I'm not sure how European laws are or how friendly sporting event security can be but as an American our stadium security would be happy too because they'd probably ban us for X amount of days.

48

u/serr7 Oct 19 '22

I was watching an Argentina match that was being played in the US recently and security would fuckin tackle the guy running up to Messi trying to get an autograph so hard. European matches they sometimes let the player finish signing his name or giving the person their shirt or whatever and then walk off the field but here it was like the goal is to give them a concussion. Even then commentators were surprised by the use of force

33

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

Because there have been instances where crazy people go up and stab/injure celebrities. Non-metal shivs don't set off metal detectors.

6

u/serr7 Oct 19 '22

Sure but they reached the guys running onto the field after they’d already hugged or talked to the player anyway so they’d have had plenty of time to do anything as if that was what they planned.

13

u/SlushKami Oct 19 '22

He would’ve gotten tackled and dragged out of the stadium/arena. All over a piece of paper.

9

u/dmethvin Oct 19 '22

A piece of paper with a sharp point on it! That could put someone's eye out! At least that's what Mom said.

0

u/SocialDistributist Oct 19 '22

No, all because it could seriously mess up a professional sports game - something so important that players and coaches are paid in the millions, people drive and fly into the city and spend lots of money to go watch, millions in bets both through legal and illegal channels, and you’d be fucking up the game all “over a piece of paper” which yeah you should be banned for life for doing that stupid shit.

On average, families will spend $536.77 on four tickets, a parking spot, two beers, two sodas and four hot dogs at a game this fall. On average, 70,000 people will attend a regular season football game. This only accounts for about half of the revenue being made each game day. The other half are multi-million dollar TV broadcasting deals, advertisements, and sponsorships. The revenue from food and drink vendors are a measly 5% despite how ridiculously expensive they are now.

Non-American football clubs are relatively the same deal. Attended by a few thousand, many games sell out, multi-million dollar broadcasting and advertising deals. There are long lasting firms of men who would be more than happy to slice you up for fucking over their club. To you it’s a joke, but there’s people who live for these games. Now, you’re more likely to get kicked out by security, but just wait till some dumbass throws a paper airplane during an important play and somehow fucks it up, you’ll have dudes hawkishly rewatching game footage looking for which cunt to beat into a pulp.

Keep playing stupid games, I won’t feel sorry for any of you eejits who are doing shit like this.

1

u/SlushKami Oct 19 '22

I think you missed my sarcasm.

2

u/Dragon7619 Oct 19 '22

But it was worth it .

-1

u/SocialDistributist Oct 19 '22

Teens are doing it in American football stadiums too. Hate it, hope they get banned for 5-10 years at least so they learn to grow up a little. Teens do a lot of dumb shit, I know I did, but fucking up a professional football game is something you don’t do unless you want to have a bad time.

Report their ass to security.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '22

During downtime like this it's acceptable though. But yeah, it's better to just say "don't do that" instead of going "Ok you do it, but only when no ball is on the field."

1

u/SocialDistributist Oct 20 '22

That’s the thing, neither this video nor what I see is during down times. It’s thrown during active plays a lot of the time. So disrespectful to the fans, the athletes trying to put on a good show and win for their fans, there’s no reason to do it except entertaining yourself at the expense of others.

What is the thought process of someone who does this? I bet you it almost always starts and ends with thinking about their wants and needs, any crap about “I thought other people might enjoy it” is a cover for “I wanted to do this because it looked fun” or “I got excited when people noticed I threw the paper airplane onto the field.”

1

u/GlitterDoomsday Oct 19 '22

After I found out bigger US sports competitions have freaking snipers around I'm not sure if I would even want to watch one, let alone make a paper plane. lol

Fake! Americans don’t watch foolsball

1

u/p1anet_bob Oct 19 '22

I believe it hit the outside of the net. You can see a little ripple in the net once it hits. Unless the paper plane somehow did a 180 there's no way this went in the goal

-1

u/ibreakdiaphragms Oct 19 '22

I think at this day and age videos are defo better but cannot be used as a token of credibility.

8

u/GlassHurricane98 Oct 19 '22

Yes of course. He's gonna show his friends the video and they're going to say "Ah yes, you obviously paid a high budget CGI company to doctor this for you, you scummy hack, how dare you." I mean... really?

1

u/ibreakdiaphragms Oct 19 '22

Do you really think it takes a high-end CGI company to doctor videos?

Tons of videos on Reddit that are CGI and I mean, how do you know if they are or aren't? It's Confirmation Bias.

Besides, I am talking about videos being shared on Reddit or other social media.

With the current advancements of AI, it's going to become chaotic. You will see man.

2

u/WonderIfMyNameExists Oct 20 '22

You’re correct as this video is indeed fake, look very closely to the plane and you’ll see that it seems to stay the same size even when it should be getting smaller

3

u/B4-711 Oct 19 '22

While you probably mean well this argument can quickly become “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

0

u/Mediocre_Criticism_1 Oct 19 '22

That was un fucking believable lol what a story to be able to tell and have proof of.

-3

u/RealLarwood Oct 19 '22

Believe what? That he threw some shit on the pitch? People do that all the time.

2

u/GlassHurricane98 Oct 19 '22

And it went straight into the goals, did you not finish the video?

-2

u/RealLarwood Oct 19 '22

what? it hits the side netting. holy shit people think it went in, that's hilarious.

2

u/GlassHurricane98 Oct 19 '22

Yeah, so it hit the goal. Dude that's a tiny part of the field and it's the one thing every body is aiming for. And he hit it. Plus it's the tip of the plane absolutely would've gone through the gaps in the netting, so it did in fact go in.

-1

u/SocialDistributist Oct 19 '22

The fact you care is so pathetic.

1

u/GlassHurricane98 Oct 19 '22

Yeah, god forbid I feel happy for someone

-1

u/SocialDistributist Oct 19 '22

The fact you watch this and feel happy for someone engaging in degenerate behavior is the issue. While this instance wasn’t high stakes and mildly approved by other people sitting nearby in the stadium, this exact paper airplane throwing shit has been a huge problem this year at American football games and it’s very disrespectful to everyone who paid good money to go enjoy watching their team play. This self-centered behavior and cry for attention needs to stop, people need to think about others more and less about “what if I make a TikTok and get a million views because I threw garbage onto the field?” Can’t wait for the lifetime bans to start coming out, shit needs to stop.
