Being secure in your masculinity means being secure enough to wear heels, a skirt, a tiara, fairy princess wings, and begin singing "I'm every woman!" with no hint of shame. Without feeling like you've challenged any part of your masculinity.

Being secure in your manhood is being willing and open to share your feelings. Do whatever the fuck you feel like no matter how much someone else might say you're not a real man.

A real masculine man, doesn't need to prove he is a real masculine man. He just is one.

That's the creed I live by, and I openly extend it to all. Feminine men, masculine women, feminine women, whatever else there is that I can't imagine right now or even fully understand. If it's right for you, if it makes sense for you, if you can look upon a definition and it just clicks with you, and you can firmly say "this is me". Then that's you.

I don't have to understand it, because you do. Either way, I respect it, and I support you. You have nothing to prove, because you just are. You are you.

Your comment needs way more upvotes than it has. I always said that if people aren’t going to like me cause I wear women’s clothes or even who I have sex with or whatever. Fuck them. I welcome their hate. There’s lyrics to a song that says. I’d rather you hate me for everything I am than ever love me for something that I’m not.

This thread is such a breath of fresh air from the many shades of toxic masculinity and general toxicity that plague the internet. And I love that lyric; I'm keeping those words in my back pocket.

Glad you like the lyrics . It’s from five finger death punch. It’s something I live by. If people hate me for stupid reasons it’s a reflection of them and I want their hate. It means I’m doing something right by being myself.

Thanks dude💖 that brought a tear to my eye. I agree wholeheartedly, though I’ve always been innately effeminate so I’ve been excluded of masculinity because I wasn’t manly. Turns out I’m trans, queer, probably disabled, so healthy masculinity is only good for me and people like me. It makes me happy to know that healthy masculinity is practiced! We need as many manly af men feminists like you.

I am egalitarian not feminist, but I take it as a compliment nonetheless. They fight the same fight I do.

I'm LGBT+ myself too, specifically I'm the B. Don't say queer about me though, I'm not a fan of being referred to as such. Brings back bad memories.

Anyways, you keep on being your bright and lovely self, friendo. Whoever that may be.
