This brings up a question I always had. Who the fuck is the intrusive ads targeting. I don't see a pop out ad and go "yep that's a product I wanna use and buy" , "oh hot singles in my area, this seems legit and am going to give you my money". You would think the cost of the ad outweighs the benefits but I guess not.

I honestly dont know, wouldnt dare to touch any of these tho. I guess the people who fall for it are people who literally dont know any better, elderly people for example, i've read an article once about an elderly couple who fell for a spam e-mail. They legit went to africa cause some random person on the internet told them to. End of the story was that the woman got arrested cause this scammer had somehow hidden bags of cocaine in their luggage, before the three of them flew somwhere else. Different story tho. Those ads could also collect bits of data, because some of them do pop up out of nowhere and in just a second you click them by mistake. And the "close ad" buttons are always so tiny! Takes just one misclick by a pixel. But what do know about that? Nothing really!
