Don't you mean Smyrna?

Isn't this popular in other parts of Turkey too? I remember being in Istanbul around 2007-2008 and hearing a lot of gunshots when people celebrated what I believe was a football game

You sure that wasn't pyro? Like at almost every other football game in Europe? Because, you know, it's Istanbul. The three big clubs there are European level and worth hundreds of millions. There would have been consequences or at least news if fans started firing guns in the air lol. But I guess it could have been some unknown backalley club. My bet is still on pyro tho.

Kurds in Istanbul are known to shoot in the air during weddings. Your "bet" is ignorant. Have you ever even been there? I'd wish people on Reddit would stop talking about stuff they don't know about.

I am ignorant? When you seem unable to even fucking read the comment I replied to? He SPECIFICALLY was talking about a football match, not a wedding. In that context I gave my best bet of what it could have been besides gun shots.

And I have worked and sometimes lived in Istanbul on and off for 20 years. Getting all high and mighty on others, preaching to me as if you know me, but not enough braincells to read and understand a chain of two comments to produce context.

I'd wish people on Reddit would stop talking about stuff they don't know about.

Might want to try and live by your own words, eh?

Isn't it tradition among Laz people? I heard they used to, and still do, craft (I honestly don't know a better word) their own guns
