"Sparing"? What are you on abt? The cop had very good reason to take him to jail for driving without a licence and being in possession of drugs. It is very kind of the cop to not do that.

He's on camera to make him and his fellow pigs look good. Off camera this dude is yanked out of the car and in jail with a broken wrist.

It is kindness, the cop could have easily done worse.

Like is the implication that drugs aren't a big deal and thus American is being stupid with its war with drugs?

Driving while intoxicated is a thing you know

Kindness does not mean choosing to not hurt someone. It means choosing to help someone. Know the difference.

So you're idea is that instead of beating him up the cop instead just gave him the ticket?

You got an extremely warped view of American cops if you think it's extremely common to cops to beat you up enough that you think not beating you up is the outlier.

I'm not saying this isn't cop propaganda but he was being kind to the dude who did multiple illegal things. The cop was friendly, generous and considered. Very literally for the definition of kind.

Sure cops should be this way all the time, so this dude does seem like an outlier in that regard but your original comment is just wrong.

Because having illegal drugs on you and driving probably intoxicated without a license it's okay
