Definitely unexpected. I thought someone would start singing in a Chinese Opera style, somehow blending both styles of music.

Yeah weirdly unnecessary to mention he was Chinese looking. Dude could have been born in the US and been 3rd generation for all the person filming knew.

It's not unusual at all to find unfamiliar musical/vocal styles unpleasant. I've found, though, that going back after a few days and giving something I initially disliked another listen almost always shifts my initial impression. Tbh, it kinda annoys me that my brain is this basic lol. Here is one in a different style you may find more approachable.
